after going to Laragashbur, there was the giant attacking and i was able to kill it, but once i went inside the camp, i could not find Atub, who gives you the quest. I was unable to find Ugor either, however i have no idea if that is at all consequential. Anyway, i would appreciate any help on where to find her or how to fix this glitch... i dont want to start over on another character just to get platinum.

If you can, reload a previous save and try again. Don't get involved in the giant fight, just let it run it's course. Atub was up on the barricades and I started the quest by talking to her afterwards.

First time round I killed the giant and the entire village was in the chief's hut and I couldn't initiate the quest.

Are you sure you didn't let Ugor die in the giant attack? I can't find the link but I saw on another board something about a bug where Atub disappears if Ugor dies.

thanks, but the first time i was there was just exploring, so i didnt think anything of the Giant attack and moved on... now I cant find either Atub or Ugor, and im assuming either they're both dead or just Ugor is. It hasnt notified me that i have failed the quest yet, but i dont know if it would show that if you killed her... anyway, i cant reload a save (since it was so long ago i first went there) so idk if ill just have to start over or whatever >.<

I am also experiencing this bug. At first I thought it might be because I accidentally shot Atub, the orc, but that was in a pervious character/save file. So it could not have been that. I helped kill the attacking giant during the night and nothing happened. Atub just sat there with hands glowing; her face would track my position though. But I could not open the door or engage in a conversation. Going to return to Riften and fast travel back to see if I can unglitch this. But it is very very sad to see YET ANOTHER quest so buggy that multiple people are posting about it.



Found a way around the bug. I was able to climb the mountains to the right of the gate (when facing the gate) and jump into the camp, run up to Atub and talk to her. Starting the quest.

yea, for me the gate was open, i just couldn't find atub at all >.<

if she is not dead. She will probably on top of the lookout nest right next to the front gate.
