Cannot close books

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:42 pm

After the patch, pressing TAB does nothing when opening books, meaning i'm stuck there and cannot close it and forced to exit the game. Anyone else have this problem?

Try escape, it's probably a bug with the addition of escape to exit things... early today I was able to exit with tab tho. So I don't think I have this issue to be able to test possible fixes.

Yes, I had the same problem: something to do with a mod fixing the keybindings becoming out of synch with the 1.2 version (or vice-versa: actually it may have been the pre-1.2 version not working with the new data files.) I think I downloaded a new copy of the mod in question to fix it, but I faffed around for a bit and can't quite remember the definitive solution. It was quite annoying, though. So the good news is that it's fixable; the bad news is that I can't remember exactly how I did it...

Edit: seriously, guys, those responses weren't exactly in the spirit of being helpful.

Unless tou have a turky where your brain should be, you should of guessed that means "Can you fix my problem?". Why would I care if you HAVN'T enounterd the issue?
