Folks I am stumped. I became a vampire lord and when I got to stage 2 I also received the seduction power. I first tried feeding on someone sleeping. All I can do is pickpocket them there is no feed option. Then I tried the seduction power on someone. No feed option. I then waited another 72 hours and apparently was in stage 4 so everyone knew I was a vampire. Tried feeding again no luck. Anyone know what is going on. Is this a bug of some kind. I have read some posts on Nexus about this but no one has a answer just that many are experiencing the same thing. No sence being a vampire if I cannot feed.

Note: I was not in vampire lord form when trying fo feed. I was in human form . I thinkt maybe the problem is that I am not being assigned the vampire race in human form once being bitten. I am playing a vanilla wood elf. When I checked my race I was still showing wood elf not wood elf vampire. But am not sure if that is it. Maybe someone knows what is going on.

I've read about bugs that turned you into a vampire, gave you all the negative sideaffects of vampirism with no feeding abilities and sometimes no vampire abilities either.

So I'd say you got a slightly weaker version of said bug

he wouldn't have had the option to seduce if he were remaining in that form.

Also not sure if you can wait in that form either, I know you can't fast travel so I'd assume you couldnt.

If you have Dawnguard and are a Vampire Lord there is no stage 4 penalty, and nobody should know you're a Vampire. It's a random guess, but you cannot feed on anyone who is also a Vampire. A test you could make is drink a blood potion and see if it resets your stage of vampirism. You could also try an 'optimum conditions' feeding by getting a follower (who is not a Vampire) and asking them to sleep in a bed you own. Then go into sneak mode and attempt to feed. Sometimes the old animation of feeding on a sleeping NPC will glitch out and you won't get it in Dawnguard, but you should still get the reversal of your stages. If none of this reverses your stage 4 then you are bugged and may need to seek a cure from Falion (if possible) or experiment with a save from before you were a Vampire.
