[On PS4]

I previously completed The Memory Den. After the chat at the end of mission, Long Time Coming, I dismissed Nick.


Now he is nowhere to be found.


He is not at his office.


He is not at any settlement.


I even checked the Memory Den and Piper's office.


I even loaded my old save game from the end of Long Time Coming and dismissed him and then followed him to see where he would go. He walks along the road past a Red Rocket, then past Big John's Salvage, then past Shaw High School, then turns north past Milton General. A small ways north along that road he stops indefinitely. (At a spot near the center of a small triangle of land formed by Fairlane Hill Estates and Relay Tower OSC-527 and NH&M Freight Depot. I reloaded my current game and walked along that route to find him... He is nowhere there either.


Where should I look to find Nick?


Why doesn't the game include a map pointer to find companions like it does for Preston at the end of most Minute men quests?

maybe you scrapped him by mistake

Find some chair and wait for a day, then check Piper`s and Valentine`s offices again. I`m sure I found him in Piper`s office at some point ( I just don`t remember when it happened) . Or you can use console commands (if on PC) :

PS: sorry, did not notice that you use PS4. Can`t think of anything better than loading a save in this case.

Had this happen with Maccready too. I sent him to a settlement and he never showed up. I sent a provisioner to another settlement, thus freeing up a spot in my settlement and he was there next time I hit town. Maybe your settlement is full?

Thanks. I didn't send him to a settlement. I canceled out of the selection, which should have made him go "home"... presumably that means to his office. When I followed him, he did seem to be heading in the general direction of Diamond City.

Thanks. It's been many many in-game days since I dismissed him. Probably at least 50 to 80. But I'll give it a shot.
