cannot import vannilla animation

Post » Sun Aug 22, 2010 1:15 am

I found this little problem when I attempted to import the Xivilai's running forward animation into blender:

AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'num_control_points'

The reason I want it is because I was asked to make a playable Auroran race, but this animation has a slight glitch in it at the start (has the wrong rotation and translation for the first frame of it). You can see this if you load it up in nifskope. The weirdness is on the Bip01 NonAccum bone, however it has a NiBSplineCompTransformInterpolator aniamtion on it which cannot be edited properly in nifskope.

So can anyone help me out here? Either help me import it, or use another program to edit and fix this mesh for me (or at least into a form i can import into blender).

Here you go: DELETED
I have imported it to Blender (no prpblem at all) and rotated frame 1 NonAccum Rot-z by 90°.
But this kf is really wierd now, I think that the NIF scripts can't handle this spline stuff very well. I have never seen an anim before where both BIP01 and NonAccum change their Loc-z. So the run is constantly jerking, not only because of the missing translation. I hope it helps anyway. Maybe Max is doing better.

EDIT: sorry, I messed up badly. I tried to work with the human skeleton .. :banghead:
I get the same error message, so I can't help

I sent you a PM with some tweaked files. You'll now be able to import that kf into Blender just fine, and without error messages. But the Xivilai still jumps around on Z axis in Blender, as the animation plays. I'm sure you can fix that on your end, though.
