Hey guys. I just decided to reinstall Oblivion on my windows 7 x64. During the install there was a problem and I cannot remember what it said.. but I do remember that the install was stuck on Setup.. So I canceled the install. Anyways.. When I open the Oblivion launcher, a pop up says..

Then, after this another comes up and says..

Setup has experience an error.

Please do the following:
- Close any running programs
- Emplty your temporary folder
- Check your Internet connection (Internet-based- Setups)

Then try to run the Setup again.

Error code: -5001

I think that has something to do with the failed previous installation. You want to get some flavor of registry cleaner, and make sure all traces of oblivion are gone from the windows registry. (CCleaner works pretty good.) Going thru and manually finding them is not a task to be undertaken lightly, you can easily hose your machine by removing/changing a wrong key.

Once you think you have all traces of Oblivion removed, reboot your computer, and try the install again.
