Cannot Play Fallout 4 - Should be able to fine

Post » Sun Feb 21, 2016 12:16 am

Hi all,

I've sent multiple messages to Bethesda and Nvidia regarding my problem, but to no avail - or even reply...

seems like they don't even wanna touch it... consulting the forums now, you are my last hope to play game iv'e been looking forward to so much!

My problem is - cannot play the game

The reason is - my setup 'can't' handle game requirements.

This, is a LIE!

My setup is

i7 4th gen hq 4700 processor

nvidia gtx 760m

10 gigs ram

plenty of hard drive space

This should run it fine - it does so for all my other games e.g. mgs on ultra is 30-50 fps.

Alas it does not run.

Diagnosis - It appears that the game is selecting my integrated graphics card whenever I run and i cannot figure out why! I can run it but only in super low res on windowed mode and i don't want that experience at all!

Things I have already tried

- Reinstall game

- Update Graphics Driver

- Uninstall and reinstall graphics with updated driver

- Slelect 'use Nvidia card' from control panel for universal and specific launches

- Change the .ini file to select correct graphics card (from 0 to 1 for the more tech savvy of you who know what i'm talking about)

- Curl up into a ball and cry beside my computer

Nothing seems to work...

Help. Me. Please.

Also if anyone from Bethesda is reading this I am truly dissatisfied with the complete lack of support I received from you when I first encountered this problem. I sent multiple reports detailing what had transpired whenever I attempted to open the game, and never heard from anybody. I will admit that it is a tricky problem, however my inquiry at the very least required acknowledgement. I will be chasing reimbursemant if this issue is not resolved soon - as it has been months now and I still cannot play it. A company who does not care about it's customer base is a company I can live without.

Not sure that I'm the one that can help you. However there are many here that might be able to.

Post your DxDiag. That would help in diagnosing the problem.
