I cannot get Cass as a companion! I've talked to Alice McLafferty in the Crimson Caravan main Office, she asked me to deliver a holotape to Doctor Thomas Hilderm. I've accepted the quest, but the quest itself isn't updated! I have the holotape in my inventory, but the quest marker still points on Alice, and in the quest list menu the description of the quest still states that I should go to the Crimson Caravan office... I found this doctor by myself, without quest marker, but all I can talk about with him is a quest to vault 22! Is there a way to bypass this bug?

strange, my quest got bugged some how and i skipper like 60% of the quests for her and she instantly was avaiable, think it was after i killed all those people in the Energy Weapons shop place

I just looked into the setstage console command, which you can probably use if you have the PC version. It's towards the bottom of http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_console_commands under the Quests section. It looks like you can use the sqs command with the quest ID 0015da16 to get the objective number for the stage of the quest you're on and then use the setstage command to reset that part.
