hello friends i recently downloaded skyrim se. when i try to run the game in steam it simply opens and instantly closes. i go into the launcher myself and try to run it gives me the following errors.

it tells me i do not have msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll

if anyone knows how to fix this please help me.

Both are related to Visual C++ 2015, which should install along side Skyrim. The installers are found in the installation directory of Skyrim unde the following subdirectory: \_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015.

Make sure WIndows isn't in the middle of a system update, reboot if necessary.
