Cannot uninstall or install the game

I am right now pissed off because I cannot [censored] uninstall Oblivion AT ALL, I look up every [censored] solution and still have the [censored] [censored] problem. Everytime I [censored] try to uninstall oblivion, I get this -5006 : 0x800ffff from installshield right when I boot up the setup.exe. I've look up almost every step from various websites for help and none of them worked, which get more more frustrated that I just want to break this game into pieces. Can someone help me get rid of this [censored] problem!?

The error you are getting is an Installshiled error not an Oblivion error that normally happens when something goes wrong installing a program and you exit the install improperly - leaving the temporary files from that install still in the folder so that when you try to run another install it errors outdue to trying to complete the old install again first.

Go to your C:\Program FiIes\Common Files\ folder and rename the installshield folder you find there to something else (ie. Installshieldold) then try running the install again (installshield will create a new Installshield folder if it does not exist and that should bypss the problem you are having !
