My brother-in-law is playing on the Xbox One. After the Valentine mission, he switched back to Piper and cannot use a melee weapon or gun. When he hits the trigger nothing happens and VATS will not work. He has tried to get Valentine back as a companion, but so far nothing has worked. He has tried changing companions but that did not work either.
