So I entered Helios 1 to tell the dolt with the sunglasses what to do, and it all of a sudden started walking very slowly as if I was carrying too much or was injured.

No, I wasn't carrying too much and I wasn't injured.

I logged out and shut down the PC and it won't go away! The most recent save game was from 3+ Hours of gameplay ago. The minute I stepped into Helios 1 it autosaved so that's the one that I'm stuck on.

It being April 2012 I thought we'd have a fix for this by now but I dunno....

You can toggle between walk and run with caps lock. Maybe you hit it on accident.

On a side note: recent save from 3+ hours ago? Don't rely on quick and autoo save. Always make a NEW manual save now and then. Don't overwrite the same manual save make a new one. You're asking for it if you don't.
I like to just hit esc and make a save every 10-20 mins or so (sometimes sooner).
