So in Skyrim you have two choices, work for the Dark Brotherhood OR help the Legion wipe them out. If you work for the Brotherhood the final questline will be the Assassination of the Emperor...now..when I saw that quest I knew right away my character would NEVER do the Dark Brotherhood. In Oblvion you killed a few random people but no one of real "consequence".

I'm curious what the next ES games will consider to be "canon". Is Titus Mede II killed by you as a DB member, or will the canon be the Dragonborn wiped out the DB. Personally I'm hoping the Emperor being assassinated isn't canon, or Bethesda pulls the old "You killed an impersonator".

IMO if the Emperor were really assassinated the Empire would fall into Civil War again and the Thalmor would rule all of Tamriel.

They won't say the DB getting destroyed is canon, that'd make a loooot of people mad. And I'm pretty sure that was the real emperor we killed.
