cant advance due to mod

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 10:53 am

ok, i have this mod installed called "CR gnisis expanded" (im 95% sure this is the mod that is causing the problem)

this mod basically adds npcs and a few upgrades to gnisis and in particular, the fort.
it changes the location of darius, and when i ask for orders, he gives me the eggmine quest, but instead of 'gnisis eggmine' coming up as a whole (that is what its meant to do right?) it provides gnisis and eggmine (seperatly), and no matter what topic i select, no journal entry or quest will activate.

does anyone else have this mod, or know of any issues?

also, is there a way to bypass this quest to advance in the quest chain, such as changing my rank in the cs or somthing. if so, could you tell me how to do that.

cheers.

I'd advise turning it off for this one quest, have you tried it?

I would try AddTopic "gnisis eggmine"

It might not work in the sentence, but it will be added to the list of Topics along the right side of the dialog window.

Yes, this is a known issue with that mod. Something about overzealous dialogue cleaning, IIRC. (It's been a while.) Craigor was working on an update which would have fixed the problem, but then he disappeared off the face of the internet. :shakehead:

For now I'd advise either not using the mod if you're planning on joining the Legion, or only enabling it after you've joined and completed the first quest or two. Or, if you're just looking for cosmetic alterations to Gnisis, trancemaster's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8506 is very nice. :)
