we cant all have abs

Post » Mon May 03, 2010 1:25 pm

I played a bit of Two Worlds the other day, sadly. But noticed something most rpg character creators didn't have.. The ability to adjust the width of shoulders and length of body arms and legs, it would be pretty cool if Skyrim implemented this, I honestly don't see why not, it wouldn't be time consuming or extremely difficult.

Also, I think and option to be able to decide how much muscle or how much fat your character has would be an, overall good thing to add, if possible.. instead of seeing all these perfectly built people around. Sure times were tough but you'd still see some porky nobles. Also a blacksmith should have more muscle than a book keeper...

I'm pretty sure there wll be body modifiers

But, don't get me wrong, it was hilarious to see a dead beggar with abs and arm muscles.

Here's to hoping we'll have the option to make a character with really long legs and really short arms, or visa versa.

I don't know about the "wouldn't be time consuming or extremely difficult" part.

Wouldn't they have to do a lot of testing and adjusting with animations and armor/clothing models to accommodate all of the different permutations?

However, I like the idea of being able to customize how "toned" our bodies are.

You will be able to modify body features in Skyrim, that is a confirmed feature. The extent of which is still unknown, but at least for the sake of this topic, they have stated you will be able to make muscular, skinny, and fat characters. So here's to hoping that the beggars will actually look starving (and keep a consistent voice...the ones in Oblivion are clearly faking)

Well considering that I always play these game in first person mode, as do alot of people, and never really see my body, I would rather see them devote that time and energy into some other aspect of the game. Not to mention that you're going to end up being clothed or armoured anyway, and won't even see your abs, or lack thereof. And I'm fairly sure it's been confirmed that NPCs in the game will have more variety in terms of body shape than in previous games.

Its more for the Roleplayers. And yeah hopefully also peoples facial colour will match their body colour... anyone ever notice that? Hahaha

Thats just scaling of bones + better body mesh thats suit to your chose (bulky, muscular, athletic, scrawny) and I think was already implemented at certain level in Skyrim.

Actually there is also some improvements was done by modders look for blanc egt files or check this

It's doable, Volition did it in Saint's Row II and that game wasn't nearly as polished.

Namco also did it in Soul Calibur IV although that one had a limited wardrobe.

Going to make alot of gamers dilike me, but I hope if generic mesh bodies are in.
They're not buff eye candy for men and, Lady McBoobage for women.
Just played DA:2 it was like an eighties body builder convention for ta' dudes, and plastic surgery gone right for ta' ladies.

I remember playing Oblivion one time and there was this NPC who said that he was too old for fighting; but yet he had a six-pack and very toned arms
