cant connect to multiplayer : Crysis

after logging in i try to connect to multiy player but crysis2 crashed and said a program casued crysis 2 to stop working.. how do i fix this?

I'm getting the same thing. When I click "Multiplayer", it seems like it kind of loads, then freezes, and then just says "Crysis 2 has stopped working" ... I've found out that we're definitely not the only ones getting this so either there's some maintenance we don't know about or something is really wrong with Crysis 2.

I haven't played the PC version in a while but its doing almost the exact same thing on the PS3 version right now as well, although it was working fine about 30 minutes ago.

As soon as we press multiplayer it freezes our consoles at the squad initializing screen

OK Yea! I have two 360's & PC. The 360 version freezes when initializing multiplayer & I'm getting this same error as OP for my PC version. Server issues or unannounced maintenance? Hopefull to resolve some issues that people are still CRYing about? lol

BIGBADABOOM..... Whew. Thought something was wrong with the new video card I just installed and was gonna test out in MP... Freakout subsiding, pulse still rapid though. Oh man. I think I am addicted to crysis! I need my fix man.. Freakout reinstated............

What a shame, the game that could've been if they only supported (let alone progressed) the MP experience for more than 4 months. People were saying that Crytek took your money and is drinking margaritas and banging hokers on a private island is true, after 1.9 they dusted there hands off and walked away from the PC community. Crytek is simply not willing to dedicate the resources to make the PC experience a true forward thinking, community based driven evolution, it could of taken off to near CS proportions, the SDK is there, but they only supported it to make it as good as the console counterparts, the PC is much more flexible/powerful than the console, if they were willing to listen to us and mod/update the game accordingly, the PC would've could've should've of been much different and superior experience.

GameSpy Matchmaking Maintenance Thu Sep 15 00:00 - 00:30 PDT

GameSpy will be patching and performing rolling restarts on its matchmaking service during the maintenance window on Wednesday at midnight (Thursday, September 15, 2011 00:00 - 00:30).

During this maintenance, some players in the process of listing themselves as game hosts may not be able to do so. However, if these players try to host again, they should succeed, even before the maintenance is complete. Player impact should be minimal.

The maintenance is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.
