Cant continue companions quest? possible spoiler : V

so i started the companions guild quest and got to the point where you can become a werewolf but now no one will offer me any more quest, the only thing i can do is become a werewolf.

So my question is do i need to become a werewolf to continue the quests.

ye i think so, is that when you are locked in that room and the guy youe with becomes a werewolf and kills thoese silver hands?
