Cant figure out whats causing CTD? Need help please

So I recently clean installed oblivion. then proceeded to install FCOM in the order given on http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/fcominstall.html. Got it all running after like 2 days of messing with wrye bash and python issues. Once everything was up to date as per the guide I began installing the select few other mods I enjoy so far. Mostly texture packs and a few others. I am running all the unofficial patches, the oblivion stutter fix, the oblivion 4gb update and i am still crashing after loading up an old save in the sewers right before finalizing character details, as well as crashing immediately after the cinematic ends when trying to create a new character. I tried various graphics settings to avoid the CTD but none of them seem to work. I would upload my mod list but I am not really sure how? Anyways if anyone could figure out a way to get this working i would be most pleased. I can provide further details as necessary.

In Bash, right click the top bar in the mods tab and select "List Mods."

The list gets copied automatically, so you can just paste it here.

Well perhaps i screwed up the same way again but i followed the install guide on MMM and used the new load order and I am having CTD immediately after launch. Is there something about HGEC bodies, better cities, or Quarls texture packs that causes issues because those are the only other mods i installed. At this point im beginning to wonder if FCOM is worth the hassle

I don't know if this will help much, but have you tried running BOSS? It may help with a load order issue if you have one.

Hard to give advice w/o seeing your load order. Make sure the MMM.bsa is renamed correctly, i.e. FCOM_Convergence_MartsMonsterMod.bsa. That's probably the most common mistake.

Are you sure you system can hande 2 fish spawning mods..Diverse Waterlife and OOO Waterfish is going to be killer on cpu and fps

Pardon my ignorance but just deleting these mods from the Data folder will remove those issues? As to the fish mods I will remove one of them until I have everything else sorted out to see if my system can in fact handle the stress of both. Thanks for the quick replys and the help.

Yeah, remove and update and rebuild the Bashed Patch.

Anyone have suggestions for best way to proceed turning off mods in an order that wont damage anything so that i can test which ones are causing the issue?

A bit late now but my recommendation is to start up a new game with just a patched vanilla game to see if it seems to work. Then add OOO and do the same. Then add the the core FCOM mods and do the same. And then add mods one or two at a time while checking for issues/stability. Starting out with lots of mods makes it more difficult to trouble shoot.

Anyway, CTDs on startup are generally caused by either:
1. A missing master, which shouldn't be the issue in your case. The plugin with a missing master turns up red in Wrye Bash so easy to check.
2. Some setting in the Oblivion.ini. You haven't commented on Corepc's tip to delete it so it can rebuild during startup so not sure if you've tried that.
3. Missing fonts, i.e. a messed up install of a custom UI so the ini points to non-existing fonts.

I'd guess the second in this case. Try deleting the Oblivion.ini in My Documents/My Games/Oblivion and let the game generate a new one on startup.

EDIT: BTW, do you mean that it crashes immediately on startup or that it crashes when the game/menu has loaded and you try to start a new game? If the latter, it's probably caused by not having renamed the MMM.bsa as noted in a post above. You didn't comment on that either so no idea if you've done that correctly or not.

0B Cobl Races TNR SI.esp [Version 1.53] - As above.

Deleting the .ini file right now and yeah I forgot to mention but yes I did check and rename the MMM bsa. Once again thanks for responding

EDIT: deleted the .ini still CTD although it semed about to load to the ingame main menu for a sec

Edit #2: Will be restarting from scratch tomorrow using the method described above. One mod at a time checking if it loads

Good idea.

By the way your Unofficial Oblivion Patch is old version at 3.2.0, newest is 3.3.3

Anyway, my recommendation would be to install first and foremost the basic FCOM. That is Fran's, OOO, WarCry, MMM and FCOM/UFCOM. If you are first time installer of FCOM I would even recommend that you install only the vanilla game and possibly SI and none of the other DLCs in order to keep it as simple and foolproof as possible. Then post your load order again.

If you do such a most rudimentary FCOM install, if only for testing and a bit of test-playing, your modlist should not be longer than around 20 entries. :)

Do all the others like the rest of DLC, Armamentarium, even Bob's Armory, Loth, Cobl etc etc. later once the basis is working. If you do not cut down drastically on your mods you are bound to have problems until you have some experience with installing FCOM. My two cents....
