Any and all my saves post rocket launch cause the game to crash. I thought I had found a work around but no go. Anyone have any Ideas?

I'm having the same problems its pissing me off cause i cant really play the game. i hope the make a patch to fix it soon noticed there were a few other people havinf the same problem and i saw something about people having that problem on the x box

I wish someone from the dev team would at least tell us if they know what the issue is or if they are working on it. Im very tired of busting my ass trying to get this game to work and just getting kicked in the dike over and over.

I have the same issue, loading a save game after the rocket has been launched causes a crash to desktop, falloutnv.exe has stopped working.

I feel your pain...was up until 2am this morning trying to recover a save prior to launching them after realizing that my quicksave, autosave, and both manual saves were post-launch and would do nothing but crash to desktop as soon as they load. Awesome!! Fortunately I was able to find a save I had recycle binned but otherwise I was looking at starting completely over again!!! Totally unacceptable to have this many crashes/bugs/quest issues in a game @ release.

I don't know if this qualifies but I'm also experiencing crashes after the rocket mission. The difference is that I made my way back to novac, visited the gift shop and the motel (with a couples of crashes when I was leaving both buildings) and then I decided to do the Ranch Attacks quest. I went to the pen, waited till 12:00 and saw the Kin kill the brahmim and go away since I didn't know what to do. After learning that you're supposed to kill it, I waited till the next midnight, but now it crashes 10 seconds after I load it, usually when I look over the direction from where the night Kin comes from.

haha i did the rocket quest made it back to the guy in the dinosaur and was out to boulder city when mine stopped workin ^^

2nd patch didn't help.

Game is unplayable to me right now.

ya same here i just tried an earlier save to see if it would crash after the rocket mission. game crashes in 3-5 minutes after loading now...

Same here. Saved, launched rockets, crashes.... Good thing I have a back-up!! Launching will have to wait I guess...

Glad I read this first.
After finishing this quest, I went to renter the sewer, and bam...crash to my desktop....so umm, now I really cant play any farther into the game. This needs to be fixed ASAP

I have this same problem and have also made a similar post about this.....sitting here about to play fallout 3 again because new vegas is currently broke vegas.

BUMP. They need to fix this ASAP.


EDIT: The space suit has nothing to do with it. I didn't get it and the saves still got corrupted.

I don't think it's actually related to the launch. Every save I have after telling the one ghoul in the basemant that his girlfriend was dead is broken. I am thinking something with him is actually breaking it.

Note that I haven't even launched the rocket yet.


Edit: After loading an old save, the issue started after I enter back into the basemant from the sewer entrance on the surface! BEFORE the ghoul completion! Any save I make topside, before going down, works. As soon as I go down, it breaks. Going to test this further.

Edit #2: Loading from that old save again, I walked all the way back through the main door. Going inside does not cause the crash. But as SOON as I get into the basemant again, it crashes. I'm beginning to think it has to do with the basemant somehow.

This is good stuff. Hopefully it helps bethesda to fix the problem.

Well what I did was skip that whole quest entirely you can figure out where to go next buy reading manny's computer in his hotel room. Game didn't have that issue for me after skipping that quest and I have made it to new Vegas and talking to Mr.house
