Cant wait for this game!

I think there's three prevalent attitudes on the forums currently:

1. Displeasure at how Fallout 4 is turning out, slow to say anything good about it.

2. Blindly buying tickets onto the hype train and defending every single aspect of the game

3. The attitude you just described in your post.

I like to think that option 3 is what makes for the healthiest community. We're all here because we love Fallout, but what point would the forums be if all we did was cheer for the hype squad?

There will be things we love and things we hate but what Fallout fan is seriously going to at least give this game a chance?

I think bethesda makes the best games bar none.

But the fallout games are much much better than TES

They are both fantastic series for their own separate reasons.

I must say that I enjoy them both equally.

Well, maybe Fallout gets a SLIGHT edge.

Fallout has the slight edge for me, because I love the lore, the 50's vision of the future, the post apocalyptic cities, and just the overall universe... I still enjoy the Elder Scrolls though, as I enjoy it for the same reasons, but Fallout just ever slightly more.

I kind of wish that BGS would have used some of their city making mojo to make a really good fantasy city and environs for an Elder Scrolls game. A huge fantasy city would make the perfect locale for a thief type character.

Who's to say that they won't in TES VI ? Though something like this could show up in their new IP as well....

I'm probably a bit more fond of the Elder Scrolls series, if only because of the traditional sword and sorcery genre. Fallout 3 was interesting, but seemed a bit hollow in a way. Fall Out-New Vegas was not quite as immense, but the story telling, especially with the 4 main DLCs buffing it up, really showed how much potential the series could have moving forward. I'm excited about what Fallout 4 may be, but setting the settlement / building / crafting features aside, we haven't seen much that doesn't suggest a reboot of FO-3. Hopefully the Quakecon info this Friday will stoke the fires for me.

Fair enough, but let me put it like this then: In over 900 hours I haven't managed to finish either the Main Quest, Dawnguard or Dragonborn, lol.

That is debatable considering the Skyrim CE didn't sell out nearly as fast as FO4's did, but to each is own.

It will be nice to play a Fallout where framerate doesn't drop by 30 whenever more than 2 NPCs are in view :teehee:
