CS Capability Question

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 8:46 am

What I'm trying to do is basically make some small 'films' in Oblivion using the CS/In game commands. I want to be able to do the following things:

  • Script several NPCS to carry out certain actions at the same time, while I record it as if I was the camera.
  • Script NPCS to react to my character in certain ways.
  • Script certain concise and exact camera movements (pans, zooms, steadicams, follow-from-behind shots, overhead, underhead views, slanted shots, etc, basically all kinds of camera freedom.

Are these things doable? How much freedom is there in general with the camera using the CS or any other in game commands, and would I be using in game commands or the CS more to achieve these things?

Thanks very much in advance for any help, just trying to get a feel of what I can do!

Most of that is doable with Factions and AI packages: You can get NPCs to perform certain actions with AI packages and you can ensure certain reactions towards the Player with Factions. Camera work would be a bit more difficult. There are mods out there that can help. http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12987 is probably your best bet.

Great thanks!

For some reason I thought you might be able to program camera movements like in some animation programs...
