Nay, I think its unrealistic, and sort of lame...

Capes were quite prominent among nobility and the wealthy. Plus, they give any person an air of, "I'm wearing this glorified tapestry on my back, so I am better than you."

If the cloak flows realistically, I will be ecstatic.

I think it would be cool to have like hooded capes to wear, maybe even add the "dye option" for your clothes.

I say yay.

I really want to dye my clothes. I think it was fun in Fable 2 (haven't played 3), and I want as much customization as is possible.

I won't buy this game if I can't look like http://socialightent.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/how-031008-lando_calrissian.jpg

Hell yeah! Cloaks are awesome. And if hoods cast realistic shadows... I can finally look as awesome as http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo360/relvain/Avatars/aragorn.jpg?t=1295311235

Why stop there? Let's also have cloaks and split capes like http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l12/Daedra_Lord/RahmKota_bg.jpg

Edit: And loincloths too!

I've wanted capes forever. However, what I really think would be cool is if your character throws his hooded cape to the side prior to battle, because as we all know capes are not really good to fight in.

The thing that makes me feel like capes will NOT be included is the screen shots from the game informer magazine. Look at the character models and you'll notice that their clothes and armor do not seem to be independent of their body. Of course, we cannot tell this for sure until we see it in motion but while it looks much better than Oblivion, there are a lot of similarities. If they just included capes on top of the character models we're used to from Oblivion it would just look out of place.

Yay. Having a fur cape to wrap up in and keep yourself warm would be nice... It is after all quite cold in Skyrim.

I would love capes, but only if they're physiqued well and don't look like the player's wrapped in foil or something. I'd like to be able to raise or lower the hood like you could in Daggerfall, and have different qualities, like common and exquisite etc. If it could flutter a bit in the wind that'd also be nice...

This is one of the best thread topics I've seen in here so far. I would love to have capes. Guess we'll see in 10 months.
