Just as with the games. Mojave for its population and it being more developed. Capitol Wasteland for the adventure.

not to sound creepy... but the capital wasteland has ALOT more children than the Mojave, which is better in my opinion, in which to say tht there is a better chance for human survival in tht area, more children = more families = larger populations = better result for the human race.

I m going with cw, because I know what happened there. I ll be in good hands with Lyons beefed up bos running the show. I d try to date Sarah Lyons too.

NV I don t know what happened its in a state of limbo untill god knows when CL could take over, one of you might be in control with that yes man abortion. House or NCR wouldn t be bad, but again I dont know.

From what I know CW is safer in my eyes.

Capital Wasteland, work for Talon Company, become a grizzled badass merc veteran, hardened by the harsh environs, then move out west, and be that "ex-soldier from the east coast" that suddenly becomes the hero of a small town when he completely [censored] murders a group of raiders.

Clean water
No radation
Law and order (for the most part)
Fresh food
Working economy
Gambling
No super mutants kidnapping people.
Just miles away from the NCR where there is law and order

Yeah I am going to have to go with the Mojave :tops:

Think I'll hafta go with the Mojave on this one. Things are tough all over, but it seems to be in better shape than what's left of D.C.

Having less children in the Mojave is because Bethesda's stance on the harming of children. Alot of people including me find locations like Little Lamplight to be very annoying and completey stupid. How are they getting new kids?! Anyways in order to reduce the amount of people complaning the annoying kids they decided to do away with them. The Devs just put less kids, its not to say their is something wrong with the people of the Mojave and their ability to reproduce.

mojave all the way.

aside from life necessities (like farms and clean water), it's more or less civilized, and is not full of self righteous crusaders trying to save the world from itself (james, lyons, looking at you). it's all about the people you spend time with, and the mojave's inhabitants are light years more interesting and fun than the CW's. hang out at musuems with ghouls or hang out in vegas with mr house? easy choice for me.

I just assumed the children in the Mojave Desert get put up by their parents when people walk in carrying 3000 or so guns on them.

Capital Wasteland. Further north, there are trees and everything! lol.

Somewhere like the Republic Of Dave would do me. The Mojave is too... damn hot. Living there would make you wish for a nuclear winter etc. Now that the Enclave and supermutants are gone, and the Brotherhood are overseeing fresh water, it should be back up and running in no time. Plus I can always take a boat trip to point lookout if I needed a vacation :P

As for the Mojave being more civilised? is it? really? You walk through Freeside and various scum jump out and shoot you. Kids run around trying to catch a rat because they are starving, while NCR blow thousands of caps in the casinos. Horrible place. Imagine trying to farm crops out by Nelson, scratching in the dust. No thanks.

(No offence to anyone who lives in the real Mojave, I'm sure you manage just fine and it is a lovely place! But in the game...)

While I do like the Mojave, I'd go for the Capital Wasteland. Post Broken Steel, theres a growing, professional army of power-armored soldiers patrolling, the settlements are fortified enough that raiders are pretty much a non-issue, clean water is getting easier and easier to get and things are actually generally peaceful outside of the DC ruins. Hell, now that the BoS knows about Vault 87, the Super Mutant threat is going to be handled pretty quickly.

Also, I hate the heat, and the CW has more underground areas to protect me from melting like a nazi opening the ark of the covenant when summer rolls around.

Oh but ofcourse, a larger population, so that humankind can respawn to the masive extent they start to get sick of each other again, build some really [censored] huge nuclear weapons, and start the game all over again!

I'd live in Megaton.

It seems a pretty decent place to live.

Ditto Goodsprings.

Mojave all the way! West Coast in general, really.

I like the climate and the easy to get clean water, the well-organized caravans and fairly good access to food. A nice lodge in the mountains for retreats where I could annoy nightkin all day by staring and, of course, get blasted on The Strip :celebration:

Jacobstown is the place for me. What's not to like? Do you think that place is going to get hit by raiders? Get set up in one of those bungalows, eat mutton all day every day, arm wrestle mutants, and enjoy la dolce vita.

Hold on a moment.

Are we talking PRE-Lone Wanderer Capital Wasteland or POST-Lone Wanderer Capital Wasteland?

1. Good Karma Lone Wanderer Capital Wasteland has solved the pressing issue of "dying of thirst" and "Mirelurks trying to kill you" plus eliminated the majority of Super Mutants the entire CW Brotherhood of Steel couldn't, plus the Enclave. He's potentially also added Vault-101's population to assist in the re-education of locals, disarmed Megaton's nuclear bomb, encouraged a massive growing of Harold's forest, and probably significantly reduced the total Raider population by half if not more.

In short, in maybe five to ten years, it'll be a better place to live than the Mojave under King Lyons.

2. Bad Karma Lone Wanderer quite simply KILLED EVERYBODY with the FEV virus at worst and made things horrific if not. By then, it's gone from a HELLHOLE to a desert.

But yes, bizarre caveat - I might choose the Capital Wasteland because that's the only way I might be able to join the Brotherhood of Steel.

I really prefer the Mojave WL but I actually hate the desert. Just for climatological; reasons, I'd have to go with DC
