Cards, gambling, minigames in fallout 4?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 4:01 am

I am sorry if this topic has been brought up before but is there any information on gambling or minigames within the game? I loved playing gwent in TW3, minigames in Fable and Rage, and gambling in FNV as well. Many games have a way to earn extra money and have a bit of fun.

What kind of minigames would you like to see in FO4?

I personally would love to see a card game similar to gwent in the witcher 3 with various fallout 4 creatures and heroes that could be collected at various places in the game.

We know that there will be holotape games for the pip boy. Some stuff similar to asteroids and Donkey Kong was showed at the E3 presentation.
But I am not aware of any wasteland games, like caravan or anything as of yet.

Ah yes I recall seeing those little arcade games in the pip boy. I just hope there are games in the world to play around with. I would also LOVE a death pit similar to oblivions arena.

There were a few places to fight in all of the FO games, AFAIR, so hopefully that doesn't change.

I really want gambling and caravan to make a return. Whether it's little more than a gimmick or not, I think it makes all the difference in creating settlements that you want to spend time in. When you can actually chill out in a game and play a game with NPCs it makes you feel part of the world.

I just can't see how Caravan can make an appearance in Fallout 4 since Caravan is a game on the West Coast and there is very little interaction between the West Coast and East Coast.

I'd love to see some non-Pipboy minigames around the game world. New Vegas had gambling, but I'd also like to see minigames along the lines of what you'd find in GTA or Red Dead Redemption. There's something about those things that just adds to the "be whoever and do whatever" feeling of the game; like, I can also be a post-nuclear slacker that stays home all day and plays video games. It's always fun to role-play as characters you could never be in real life. >.>

Well, not necessarily caravan itself. Just some form of card game or other time-waster.

Wouldn't mind a Hearthstone-esque type game or any various 'good' card games. Caravan was...fairly lame tbh.

If anyone has played it, M&M7 had a game called Arcomage. It would be a pretty interesting transition into the Fallout Universe. Essentially has you managing resources to either destroy your opponent's Tower, build your own Tower to a certain limit or stockpile resources to a certain limit.

Poker, Blackjack or anything of that sort would be neat, but they'd be missing an opportunity by not having a collectible type game like Gwent.

At this point, what they have is what they have though. They said they are done adding features so all we'd hope for is a DLC with these included.
