so i bashed benny's skull apart with spiked knuckles on the main floor of the tops then ran to the prez suite and grabbed the sub machine gun and killed all the goons with that, are all those people gonna stay dead now? or will the casino be back to normal in a while

No they stay dead

I killed all the mask wearing goons in ultra luxe and then came back 3days later and all of them were still dead. If you wipe out everybody in any of the casinos they'll stay dead permanently.

same applies to killing off all the other factions

be forwarned:

The only NPC factions that will respawn from what ive seen are:
- Casears legion
- NCR
- Fiends
- Traders/Mercs
- Powder Gangers

my advice too you is: be careful who you kill and make as many seperate saves as you possibly can.

I thought that generic characters you kill "outside" respawn.
I've cleared out several NCR encampments and only named NPC's and NPC's who I killed indoors stayed dead.

I killed all the ultra lux people for the Beef quest lol.. to bad i cant use there casino now..

well i did a test of sorts

I let some fiends follow me inside the crimson caravan camp and then killed them

i waited the 3day limit and they never respawned, then passed a wk and no respawn, it's like they vanished and never returned.

but one of them somehow manage to respawn outside the camp and was alive again.

so my theory is!

If you lure your enemies inside a building or compound structure and kill them; they stay dead for good.

im moving around the dead fiends and placing their bodies infront of mccaran(NCR base) so when theyre brought back to life there'll be an army awaiting to takeover the NCRs final stronghold in new vegas.

Im also thinking of doing the same with the powder gangers at goodsprings.

They wont know what hit em.

I might be wrong, but I don't think that's how it works. I think the dead bodies disappear and then they respawn in their original location.

For example, you go to the fort and you start a fight with the Legion. You decide to be clever and lure them to vegas ( if that's even possible ). Once there you kill them all and you wait the initial three days. The bodies disappear, you go back to The Fort and you notice a bunch of dancing tree elves with guns.

No it works the same as fallout3

but they wont stay around unless theres someone to fight( if not theyll walk back to their previous spawn spot.

The legion at the fort stay at the fort and die at the fort lol
