I still say of the two Veronica is easy to get, but harder to keep and requires more work.
Cass is harder to get, needs equiping to perform better, but outclasses V slighty when you've done so.

If you're asking why I prefer the workbench over the whiskey, it's like this:

--I've never used any of the non-healing/non-rad aids in the game, ever. I don't take +DT Perks either and sometimes I run around killing everything whilst in my underwear. So whiskey bonus...do not need, do not want. I do use the Fire Ant Nectar to grab Arcade early sometimes, but that's it. (2ndedit oh yeah, did try dmg. aids ages ago but haven't used since)
--Workbench, I mostly use to make repair kits. A portable workbench (Veronica) isn't terribly exciting, no, but at least occasionally it means I can make a bunch of repair kits on the fly and thus free up some weight carry capacity by consolidating all those scrap metal/electronics/wonderglues/wrenches etc. that I picked up. Thus it's useful to me. Not very, but more than +3 DT whiskey aid. (edit)also, I don't use Survival, isn't some of the DT bonus based on that skill?

I find cass is pretty pathetic in a fight, takes her about 10 minites to kill a fiend, while veronica smashes his head of in one swing :thumbsup:

Haven't got a character over Survival 60....may check.

Also Gun is way easier to up keep compare to EW for Companions; even with Service or Assault Carbine Cass does very well.

I basically gave up on WRK, one set of material weight more than basic repair parts with JR; although I do buy them to repair looted AMR.
