A golden age is when everyone on the forum has awesome stories up, or Rps, not just a few. Until everyone is a master story-teller or Rp god, there will be No golden age.
And that, in the entire history of the world, on every writing site on the internet, has never, nor will ever, happen. Example? FF.net. Go there and browse the popular categories (Read: Anime.) at your own risk.
Even if the term originated on the TES boards, there has never been a Golden Age there. I would actually say things may be slightly better now than then. Think of it this way. Some of the oldest RPs there, End of an Era, Siege of Sentinel, TES: Fallout, TES: Bioshock. These were all considered greats and they were all loads of fun for those who participated. But compare the writing quality of those with the quality of the RPs you see today. It should be telling just how much better things are, for the most part. Remeber, you don't start as a good writer. You work your way up to it. Even the so-called legends were terrible at one point along the line. The only time there may have been a Golden Age was when Loranna's Lore RP was around, and that's so far in distant memory that there are few that are around now that were in it. Aside from the Admins (Admin? I think Tedders was still an employee at the time.) of course.
