Catch-22

I have 1 Guass rifle. It is "broken." I can not equip as it is.

I have a bunch of weapon repair kits. I can use them only on weapons I have equipped.

I have the means to repair this broken Guass rifle. I can not repair it. Ugh!

Also, while on the topic of repairing things, why is there nothing in the game that repairs armor like the weapon repair kits do? If a player prefers a "strange", or uncommon armor, it is nigh impossible to repair it, like Recon Armor.

I know there is that perk that allows us to "use anything remotely close to what we desire to repair", but other than that, we have no recourse.

Catch-22's svck!

Can you take it to a NPC for repair?

The 'Jury Rigging.' perk will help alot with rare or uncommon armor types. But if your weapon is reduced to zero then you have to take it too a merchant or find another damaged copy to use to fix it up enough to use repair kits. My suggestion is too take it too worst repair merchant in the game(the lower the % of his skill the cheaper. Like find a guy who repairs at low number, i think the guy at 188 is prolly the best idea, Then from now on make sure to not get your weapon down that low. What guass rifle is it? the YCS/186 is unique, but you can pick the generic ones up in a few places(hidden valley and the silver rush for sure) to repair it, might be bit pricey to get another one, but be careful in the future and you will only ever need repair kits. (im wierd i rarely if ever let my weapons get below the mark where they are less effective.)
