Cave in Beth Tutorial

Hi there,
In the first part of the http://www.creationkit.com/Bethesda_Tutorial_Layout_Part_2 the cave was assembled from
CaveGLRoomCorner01
CaveGLRoomCorner02
CaveGLRoomCorner03
CaveGLRoomCorner04
CaveGLRoomWall01 (x2)
CaveGLRoomWall02 (x2)
CaveGLRoomWall03 (x2)
CaveGLRoomWall04 (x2)
CaveGLRoomMid01 (x4)
Everything looked fine when snapped into place.
But later- after doing stuff with it as per instruction, 2 spiderwebs appeared in the floor, and one corner piece (I think CaveGLRoomCorner01) just wouldn't fit anymore, even with snap to grid off. It seemed to adopt different scaling.
Then deleted all the pieces, dragged new ones in, assembled, and all looks fine as per text.
Does this kind of thing happen often?
Notes:
I took the advice in the previous tutorial discussion: "Make sure that you do not delete the NavMesh object under the cell view" when duplicating aaaMarkers.
The settings were changed in http://1drv.ms/1wt6nNd just to cap the mouse speed.
