[WIP] CDM - Vampirism

i need soem halp, i got ingame and i was already a vampire and i kept recieving the vampire amulet, in about 5 mins i had 100+ vamp amulets. wut do i do????? i have 1 other vampire mod turned on, but its a big part of my character. <=[

Any easy way to disable the blood types? Or like a summary of how to do it in the construction set without breaking anything?

If you go into the CS, look in scripts, and find the "ZCDMBloodItemQuest" or.. whatever it's supposed to be, and change the 1's (that are located after the blood type or somesuch) to 0's, it'll send the blood "potion" things into your inventory instead of applying them directly to you. After you change cells the baddies you feed off of won't make you capable of making Dagon your personal B#$@# for a day. Unfortunately the potions you get sell for a lot so you're gonna have to resist the temptation to cheat. I don't know much about scripting so I can't tell you how to make the potions not appear in your inventory. It works like a charm otherwise though, you get the cool blood drain shader and sound and everything.

In the next release, removing Blood Types will be an ini feature; Dante's suggestion should work fine for now :)

Woodlock, some people have reported this occuring, but I don't know why it would. Try opening the console, and typing : Set ZCDMVampirismControlQuest01.InitialSetUp to 1

Seventh Son, can you give me a little more information, please? Have you ever been a Vampire before, any Vampire Mods? Let me know what answer this gives : Show ZCDMVampirismControlQuest01.ContinueAsNormal
Also, make sure you have the right PH: start a new character (for testing), and type 'Player.AddSpell 3db3d' into the Console. From there, wait three days (I recommend using 'Set GameDay to GameDay + 1' for speed), and see if that does it.


Looking at the Scripts, I wonder if something in the Start Up Scripts is stopping the checks for the main system (and thus stopping infection + Amulet addition)

k i have come across another problem, i cant equip the vampire amulet, when i click on it in the inventory as if to equip it i get a message at the top of my screen saying " + The Vampire Amulet has been uneqipped" =[ halp. and btw how do i feed? because i found a sleeping victim and i hit P, and i tried to do as normal. what should i do??????????

Did you remember to start Oblivion with OBSE? Unequipping the Amulet is normal, and shows that the Script is working-- the menu should have come up; are you running any other Mods that work during the Inventory Menu, or other Token items like the Amulet?

#1 what is "OBSE" lol.
#2 i have no other mods that work during inventory menu.

Sorry, I was being an idiot combining this mod with NAVM (nekhanimal's awesome vampire mod) which I had forgotten to uninstall.... :facepalm:

PH issue; if everything is working right, after 3 days you should become a Vampire; but the day count needs to update, which sometimes it won't if you use wait (it needs a Game Mode Block to run, rather than the Menu Mode)

Oblivion Directory as in the oblivion folder? because i found the obse loader and double clicked then i got a message that said "Couldnt find Oblivion.exe, make sure your running this from the same folder of your oblivion.exe" ?????

OK, remember where you installed Oblivion? That's where you need to install OBSE :)

You should have 'Oblivion.exe', 'Oblivion Laucher.exe' and 'OBSE_Loader' in the same folder. If it isn't in there, then it won't work, and without OBSE you'll hit some issues trying to run this Mod.

Annoyingly the console won't recognise the "+" key so can't advance gamedays like that - any other method?
Another thing - does your mod contain vials of holy water? (I use many mods, so it might not be your one that contains holy water) If it is - what does it do apart from skeletonising vampires?

Yes. It causes a steady health damage for the duration of the effect. Not enough to be overpowering, but enough to weaken the Vampires. Waiting will work, but make sure to spend some time (maybe a minute) between each 24 hours. IT should only need a second, but there have been reports of it not detecting if you wait too quickly.

Looks very interesting, so I'll give it a try. In the .ini settings I've toned it way, way down. So, my max stats will be +20 instead of +100. I just want vampirism to be a strong flavor to the game, not so much a game changer.

First impression: So, I started up my regular game with one goal: to burst into flames! I equip the provided amulet, ask it to make me a vampire and wait. I'm out in the daylight, so I get hit immediately with the stat drains. If I had wanted to live, I would have to strip naked and run to shelter. I wonder at first why I'm not taking any sun damage, but eventually remember that you get a grace period. When it hits, my health goes down fast. Within moments it is over, my flesh melts away, then burns in a fiery explosion! Only my charred bones remain to tell my tale.

Edit: Also, one thing I'm wondering about. I want to edit the sun damage a bit, but it has a listing in both the CDM - Vampirism - Options.ini and the CDM - Vampirism - Build.ini. Which one needs to be edited?

The Build *should* be the one for damage; did I make another mistake there and put it in twice (I'm not at my PC so can't check right now)

Tried waiting + leaving it but still no working..... Anyway - used the amulet to make me a vampire - it seems to work apart from 2 things:

1. no face change (my personal niggle)
2. Every time I re-load my game, the vampire disease (vampirism) is re-given to me, meaning that all my hotkeys are annulled. However, when I re-set them (and only then) they do the job they are supposed to do.

Hope these observation help in the creation of a perfect mod!

I've managed to get a new feature up and running: Vampiric Projection. Basically, the Vampire can leave their physical body behind, and become a roaming consciousness. During this period, they cannot interact with other NPCs or objects. Further, they cannot leave the room/area they are in (however, in the Wilderness of Tamriel, they can currently go from one side of Cyrodiil to the next without an issue...). This allows the Vampire to reconnaissance an area, and plan its next move. During this time, however, the Vampire's physical body is vulnerable to attack and can be destroyed. Death of the body does not equal death to the Vampire, but something worse: the Vampire becomes a wayward spirit, traqed forever (or until you reload :) )

The Vampirism Hotkeys from your mod (currently the numberpad on a large desky keyboard). Upon game loading they do nothing until I re-set the hotkeys, where they decide to work as I'm setting them... if you get my meaning?
