Now Gabe I agree with you on a lot of things, but not this. A poor copy of the Roman Legion is not more thought out than most of the others you mention. Mr. House much more thought Talon Comp. is about the same, only reason they are better is because they were more thought out in combat.

I Obsidian just would have called me when they were done with the Legion I could have told them that thdy should have a very acurate archer with them at all times out in the wastes that shoots flaming arrows.

I also could have told them how Ceaser would have read about shields as well, and he would have found some titanium someplace while slaughtering villages, along with kevlar

It's subjective I guess.
I found Legion to be the best thing to happen to Fallout since Unity.

Still, on the civilized side of Legion Obsidian did a poor job.
But on their militaristic side they did a great job.
So their militaristic side is well though through.

And hell, imagine if they did have as much content as NCR did?

And now that I read about the Roman Legion for 3 mins a mere fraction of the time Ceaser must have spent I know that the Legion mixed its ranks to keep fighting productivity and moral high. They did not send the weakest first. I also learned that the sheild (Scutum) was arguably the most important thing a Roman soilder would carry.

They were all painted up and fancy as they were hard. cl could have painted a big S.P.Q.R. on those triple titanium plated kevlar coated Scutum shied with 25dt............and then.......then maybe I would have though they were well thought out and wouldn t be on a messege board [censored]ing about how weak and dumb they are, but NO they didn t call me did they....... and now look at the abortion that is Ceasers Legion in fallout of new vegas. Look at them

They aren't meant to be exact copy paste's of the Roman Legion yknow.
Caesar took bits that he liked and morphed them into his Legion.

I understand this Gabe, but he took the wrong bits. Nipton was a good show I ll give Obsidian that, but other than Lanius they were poor in every way IMO. I think Owen and Sarah Lyons were far better for fo than cl.

The Shi seem well thought out. They would have a damn good reason to get nasty and the means to do it. If some vines didn t kill them lol I couldn t tell what happened to them. Maybe another 10 years or so we ll find out.

Idunno about that really, thanks to Gamebryo Legion's attacks are basically go full frontal assault on any enemy in their perimeter.
What I "think" legionnaires would do is that if someone attacks them then they will have some members do support fire with guns while others quickly flank them and sneak up on them.
Can't really say that Gamebryo's AI/scripting/coding/whatever did them justice.

And yeah I definitely hope we get more with The Shi, frankly, I think it'd been better if they took over NCR and became the major force of the west coast.
But we'll have to wait until a DLC or a new game for any more info about them.

Now from what I read about the Shi ( and depending or numbers if they were to pick people up) wiki only tells you so much

They seem like they could slap NCR depending on numbers.
I didn t here 1 thing about them in game.

Maybe you fo2 players did kill them with vines.

Only time Legion was a threat was when the assassin squad ambushed me, they even managed to kill me once oo: But i can't really answer the question as i've been playing Fallout 3 with the FWE mod for so long that i've forgotten how the game plays without it, and with it every radroach is a serious threath :bolt:

Now if you are talking about Fallout 2 Enclave/Enclave Remnants, then Enclave wins

The Legion wins the Fallout 3 Enclave, but not the Fallout 2 Enclave. Both by a great margin and for obvious reasons.
