I agree with this 150% One thing I noticed about alot of the community is so many are so pestamistic about either new features or anything "that would require work for the developers" Its annoying...I say push! Ask for alot, show them what you want and if they care they will give you the closest thing to it and therefore make a better game. Id much rather ask big and get something close then be negitive about it and not get anything along the lines of what I had hoped for.

Back to the main topic, this would make the game world feel so much more real. This along with seasons would be wonderful and would really make the game world feel alive. I can see myself now saying hey Iv been playing this game for 50 in game years and im still having fun with this world.

I really like this idea, I never thought of it before, but it would make the game much more immersive.

Holidays would be awesome, I would definitely want them if only to make the world seem more alive.

Very true, I think it wouuld be cool for there to be some acknowledgement of celebrations and holidays in the game.

I've been playing Daggerfall, and they have holidays in there. The game would announce it to you and explain the general customs for the day. As Dar'jaar metioned, there would sometimes be discounts in-game.

This was one thing I really missed in the games since Daggerfall. I expected them in Morrowind. It would be nice to get them back.

Could be good for special thieves guild quests. Celebrations could be rife with oppurtunities for special quests of all avenues.

Actually, it might make more sense to make this part of a quest and forget the calendar aspect. That is to say, the festival only activates while you do the quest.

Agreed on the Daggerfall holidays. Don't have to make it more complex than that.

Hell yeah! I'd love to see little orchestras playing at parties and stuff. Festivals, carnivals, parties, circus's, etc....

I really like this idea.

I'd love to walk into a tavern and see dozens of people there, all celebrating the feast of some Daedric god.

Excellent idea. I'd love to see that brought into the game, it'd really help breathe life into the npc's and the whole AI in general.

I've been saying this for over a year on these forums.

Also, along with holidays.Seasonal changes. Snow coming with the winter, leaves turning brown in the fall etc etc etc.

Considering the calendar system that's been used in the past for the waiting feature, do you think that it would be cool for there to be, on certain dates, festivals and holidays? A bit of unique dialogue, NPCs gathering out in the streets, maybe some decorations, that sort of thing. With the idiom of "Another life in another world" in mind, I think this would add to the immersion, but others might feel it is trivial and unnecessary. What do you think?

I would love this, it would make the game feel a lot more "alive", and that's something I value a lot :)

Daggerfall had festivals and holidays on certain dates, but all that would happen there was a text popup, you wouldn't see it anywhere.

Celebrations and festivals are big parts of Norse/Germanic culture, and it would fit snugly with Skyrim
