Celebrity voice for TES 5

Post » Fri Dec 04, 2009 7:45 am

They should take thier voice actors out the back and shoot them.

"The dialogue was so poorly written like it was developed for a 3rd grade play adapted for stage by a deaf budgey" - Yahtzee.

 That's not the voice actors' fault, they say what their employer tells them to say.

Denzel Washington, Harrison Fore, Mel Gibson, John Travolta. Bruce Willis, Johnny Depp. ... They need to pick a couple that would work well together make make a great voice for the game.

Those actors would cost HUGE $$ I'm surprised you didn't throw Jeff Goldblum in that list. :P Well skilled/ trained voice actors can make excellent voices for the game.

Edit: ... let's see. How about ... .... ... Gary Coleman?

Sean Bean, not because he's a celebrity but because his voice kicks ass.

Really? In Oblivion, Martin always murmured like he had an inner ear infection to me.

Patrick Steward's voice acting was good, but I really wouldn't be able to tell, nor would I care, if it was an old man who could read the script with emotion. Celebrity voice actors are a waste of resources that could be pooled to better more important aspects of the game.

I think they should make whoever the annoying Bosmer will be voiced by Gilbert Gottfried. That could be epically annoying and funny all at the same time.

I think they should get Morgan Freeman to do a few voices. :hehe:

MORGAN FREEMAN!

If you don't want to hear his voice in TESV you are insane in the membrane.

I have to agree

Sean Connery!

Dang stole what I was going to say.

Bill Cosby?

coughs up blood

I...vote...for! William. Shatner?

Sure why not, for me Pink Floyd's David Gilmour would be great! Or hatsune miku if they could make her voice sound more American .

None if it means more of the characters you actually talk to for more than ten or fifteen minutes are given a bit more diversity in the voice talent department...

Otherwise I'll settle with Charlie Murphy

Why don't they throw in some old school wrestlers in there like Terry "Hulk" Hogan or "Macho Man" Randy Savage? They're good at reading scripts, right?

Imagines Randy Savage doing the dialogue in Oblivion.

"Ooooh Yeeeah! I saw a mudcrab the other day! Unbelievable Yeah!

Or Hulk Hogan

"You know dudes, I was hanging at the Waterfront the other day, banging out my 36 inch pythons, when what did I see? A mudcrab! So hopped on the back of my Harley and headed straight back to Venice Beach man!"

:lmao:

I've met both of those guys, personally. . . neither of them are like that at all.
Randy Savage is oddly quiet and kind of an ass. . . Hulk Hogan was really cool, laid back and friendly.

Morgan Freeman as a naturalist in the game. You have to do a quest for him where you guys track the migratory habits of Mudcrabs. He narrates all along the way. :P
