Lol, what he wants to do is stop anybody from having any reason to pirate his game. Making everyone go online is the only option. That, and he just can't seem to hire a decent Sci-fi writer. Guess Niven wasn't available. But seriously, the story is so bad, and has been screwed so much in C2 and C3, that the single player svcks anyway. I played about an hour of it and quit. It was just too boring. Basically its kill half the people, run and hide to gain back energy, run out and kill the rest of the people ( very easily ). Then let Psycho lead you to the next place you need to go. Over and Over. NOTHING like C1 and its open endedness.

Remind me how did that worked with Assassins Creed Revelations or was it Brother hood ? Oh yes, just great, Skidrow had a crack before the game hit the shelves. PS3 and X360 got it earlier than PC, and because of PC DRM system which was the biggest fail in recorded history those who actually did not crack their games could not play because ubisoft server were either offline or in some other way not working.
So no making you play SP online will not stop piracy.

If he's serious it will just crash and fail. The Single player in the Crysis series off-line have problems of its own. The Online Multi-player has problems of its own. I don't know how the hell he thinks putting them together would be a good idea.

Well, just look at Warface. It sounds like part of it is going to be 6 person Co-op against bots. Guess that is his new "solution".

Hmm, wasn't aware of the Assassin's Creed crack, because I've never played it, but generally CD Key checks by an online server stop anyone from pirating. Either you've got a key or you don't. Its impossible to generate them. There's just a handful of official ones. And of course, they can do that if you want to play multiplayer. The only gimmick I've seen to jump this hurdle is to crack the server. And of course, we now see EA / Crytek trying to limit and control the servers people can rent.

AC MP wasn't exactly highly popular, people played it for SP. Ubisoft learned the hard way and newest AC allowed offline play. So will Crytek, which is surprising, because they already got slapped in the face with C2 piracy, they should know better.
