TU 1.9 Certification Process?

Post » Fri Apr 05, 2013 9:35 am

Why is title update 1.9 taking so long to pass certification for Microsoft/Sony? It's been in cert. testing a couple weeks now it seems. When do you guys reckon we'll hear some news on this? I've recently purchased the last DLC I needed (Hearthfire) when it went on sale and I can't wait to start a fresh character once the update is live.

Be patient.
Edit- PS3 users had to wait months for DLC. so us xbox users shouldn't complain.

considering all the bugs ,such as the lip-synch bug, perhaps they're making a few minor tweaks to prevent it hitting the consoles, who wont be able to fix it until patch 1.10

That makes sense, I would be fine with them keeping it longer to make tweaks so it performs better. I just hate how we're kept in the dark as to what is going on. Any kind of news would be nice at this point.

It was also just Easter weekend.
Many people probably had a little time off.

Well, the latest Minecraft patch just went live on XBL, and from what I read online last week, it was sent for certification after 1.9 was. And I hate people who say be patient. Video games are the only industry I'm aware of where people pay for a service & are told to be patient when they're waiting (and waiting, and waiting) for it.

If you bought a new car & I bought the same car somewhere else & the model was recalled, yet I got mine back 3 weeks before you because mine was bought at the Steam dealership & yours was bought at Microsoft's, you'd be annoyed & impatient too; you wouldn't be happily patient about it. Why is gaming different? Service shouldn't be predicated upon fees paid.

Not only should you not compare a video game to a car purchase at all, but did you pay for this patch? No. Is Bethesda obliged to give you this patch? No.
