Champion of cyrodil question.

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 8:51 pm

Just to get this question knocked on the head. the Champion of cyrodil doesnt specificly die. Because when i killed "sheogorath" and released jigalag he technicly became the sheogorath. and since i can meet sheogorath 200 years after. That makes the champion of cyrodil sheogorath from my oblivion game. correct?

(sorry about spelling)

Your character from TES4 was still mortal, and would presumably have died long before TES5. I'm not sure why Sheogorath still looks the same as he did in the last game though...

Which lends credence to the old theory that the CoC was never Sheogorath, and that he was part of a long practical joke on Sheogorath's part, presumably ending with the CoC jumping off a cliff proclaiming to onlookers that a Daedric Prince is immortal, leaving only Haskill to chuckle a bit before sitting on Sheogorath's throne, taking up Sheogorath's shaleileigh and perhaps winding his pocket watch before writing the CoC's in his bank ledger.

And I still say that Sheogorath is Sheogorath after Sheogorath lead Sheogorath to become Sheogorath. So no, Sheogorath did not die, for Sheogorath has remained, even when Sheogorath was teaching Sheogorath how to be Sheogorath, so that Sheogorath could fight Jyygy.

So that Jyggy no longer had to be Sheogorath and could let Sheogorath be Sheogorath.

Remember, before Skyrim it could have been a possibility that the CoC just went insane or the like and never actually became Sheogorath, but in Skyrim Sheogorath specifically references the fact he/she was once the CoC. The CoC simple has mantled Sheogorath so much that he/she has become Sheogorath, even in how he/she looks like.

It would also depend on the race of your character. If he was an elf, he would still be alive anyway. It's just a way of writing off your old character. Your character turns into Sheogorath. He changes to fit the description, not the other way around.

i think the coc backasswardly mantles things, instead of doing what they do he just copies what they look like or what they wear. Was the coc an elf slaying general? No but he dressed like one, same with sheogorath. I always thought that was kind of weird

CoC walks so well in Pelinal's space-boots that he gets svcked backwards through his brand-new gaping chest wound.

The CoC was never Sheogorath because that would be cool, and Oblivion was not cool.

The truth is... That there is no Sheogorath.
Sheogorath is a lie perpetuated by the New World Order to distract sheeple from the truth; that in reality, The Empire is ruled by mutant skeevers, also known as... C0DA.

You heard me.

Sheogorath is dead, long live Sheogorath.

Sheogorath is Sheogorath. He will always be Sheogorath for as long he exists. The creature you interact with who calls himself Sheogorath is a body who has been overwhelmed by Sheogorath's personality, creating an Avatar of Sheogorath. The CoC is dead, long live Sheogorath.

At the very least, skyrim!Sheo really was the mortal Duke/Duchess from the Shivering Isles expansion. His dialogue just hammers home the CoCiness of it all. At least, that's what I took away from it all.

The CoC went insane when entering the Madhouse. The End.

Who would've guessed that the Shiver Isles expansion was a hallucination?

Does Sheo and Jyygy have separate protonymics' ?

CoC could have lived normally and died, and his soul gets imprinted with Sheo's protonymic? Then Sheo would rise from the waters of Oblivion as Sheo.

As I said, the Skyrim Sheogorath confirms that he was the CoC.

Well, maybe. You never can tell, when it comes to Bethesda. Maybe the CoC didn't do Shivering Isles, but one of the guards who fought with Martin at the Imperial city. Who knows?

Could probably joke that while the Greymarch did happen, the new Sheogorath was that friendly imperial guard on duty by the gate, on that island.

[looks it up] That Gaius Prentus fellow. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Gaius_Prentus

And the CoC was this http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Belmyne_Dreleth. He walked in, made a deposit, and was slain forthwith upon reentry to Mundus.
