Change of the Item Weight

So I have been a fan of Fallout ever since Fallout 3. The gameplay was amazing, the stories were awesome, and it was always fun finding those little easter eggs around the map.

Now, with Fallout 4, things seem to be different. As much as I love the Fallout series as a whole, there is one mechanic in the game that ruins the entire gameplay element for me. That is not showing the weight and value of each item on the ground. They show you the weight and value of an item if you find it in some filing cabinets or something, but not when you are looking directly at it. This mechanic was is Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, and it work well in those games. It made it easier on which items i should take and which items I should leave. I don't understand why they had to take that out. It made the game so much more enjoyable for the casual gamer, but now, I can even play the game because of this mechanic (also, I'm not sure I'm a fan of having some of the same songs from Fallout 3 in the game either. Just make a new playlist instead).

Is anyone else with me on this, or am I the only one who feels disappointed about this game? I just don't understand why they had to take out a mechanic in the game that worked so well.

Nope

I don't mind the svck it and see approach.

If it's too heavy for you to carry drop it again and use some brain cells by remembering which are the heavy things.

It's slightly inconvenient, but easily adapted to. Probably cut this info to hasten the "grab and go" funtionality of seeing the ID without having to pause and "open". I'm good with it.
