Hi
I have a problem in Daggerfall. I just finished the 1st dungeon & everything was fine.
When i got out, my viewing distance changed to 5 meters away. Beyond that everything is grey. same thing inside Daggerfall capital. I find it hard to explore... guess i'll find the dragon after I stepped into his jaws.
Is there anyway to increase the distace drawing?

2nd question: how do i sneak? the "slide" button doesnt seem to change my movement speed.

Maybe the distance view was like that because of the weather ingame?

For inside Daggerfall capital, ya mean like that of inside of the building as well?

As for sneaking, try holding down the "Crouch" button while moving.

not inside building, just outside.
so crouch is auto sneak? what is the "slide" button?

Then its probably the weather, which I would assume fog.

Holding down the "slide" button and using the "Left" and/or "Right" button is basically walking sideways.

As for crouching, its greatly help ya sneak, but ya can "sneak" by walking or running, but the foe would be alerted faster.

Weather aside, it's possible to increase the draw distance in two ways. Firstly, max out the view distance in game settings. Next, you can use http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:SAVEGAME.DAT_description#Increasing_View_Distance to edit the view distance up even higher, almost doubling your draw distance. I use this on every playthrough as it makes a huge difference to my enjoyment of the game.

Mind you, it's still nothing like the draw distance in DaggerXL, but it's definitely better than Daggerfall normally provides.

P.S. your post reads as though you simply emerged into thick fog. The above won't change that, of course - dense fog is supposed to be just that.
