Changing how stamina works? (Old school combat mod idea).

I'm seriously considering making a stamina overhaul mod for Skyrim intended to make Stamina way more important than it is in vanilla Skyrim, and the mod attempts to closely imitate old school Stamina mechanics from TES games before Oblivion's time... For people who are into that sort of thing- myself included. Where basically, at 100 or more stamina you do 100% damage, at 40 stamina you do 50% less damage, at 20 stamina you do 60% less damage, at 15 stamina you do 75% less damage, then at under 10 stamina you do 90% less damage, then at 0 stamina you do 99% less damage.

Also by default regular attacks would consume about 30 stamina, power attacks would consume 90 stamina, but the perks Deep Wounds, Limbsplitter, Skullcrusher, Armsman, Bladesman, Bonebreaker, and Overdraw, would make the weapons effected by said perks consume significantly less stamina- on top of the already existing bonuses. For example with Bone Breaker maxed out, one handed maces, would consume 5 stamina with a regular attack, or 30 stamina with a power attack. I would also add more ranks to the perks than just 5.

Seeing as how there's some mods out there that do seem to increase or decrease damage based on stamina it does provide me a great deal of hope, that a mod like this is actually possible. I'm pretty sure I even know what I'll name the mod, and that if I can just learn the basics of changing stamina, that I can make this mod within just a day or two.

I'm aware this is a very niche thing, only some people would like, but I'm sure at least a few people would like such a mod, and I know I'd be strongly motivated to play Skyrim again if I could make this mod myself. And the highly encouraging thing is it seems like it IS technically possible. Also is there any possible way I can make Stamina stop increasing carry weight? Or is that something hardcoded that I can't change at all?

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to provide advice here.

Well, for Damage-- I would assume the easiest way would be to make a new Perk of "Entry Point" Mod Attack Damage, Multiply, and then condition it using GetAV--you'd just have to make 5-10 entries for each value you wanted.

Personally, I'd recommend seeing if AVPercentage exists in Perk Conditions, and using a percentage base, rather than a flat-base. If you do, Percentages goes from '0' to '1', with anything more than 1 being fortified.

Not sure amount Stamina Usage for attacks--I know there's a multiplier somewhere in the Setting for Power Attacks, but I don't think there's one for normal attacks. You could probably link it to a DamageStamina Magic Effect, but getting it to cast on attack would be the issue.

I'd also recommend checking Game Settings for the Carry Weight--there might be a multiplier in there, or something.

You can use the Universal Uncapper mod (SKSE required) and set it up so that increasing Stamina never adds more carry weight.
