Changing it up: Mod suggestions?

Post » Wed Oct 23, 2013 12:25 pm

So, I've been using the same mods for a while with Oblivion, and I'm wondering if I'm missing anything new out there (OCO for one, I wager). Using Arthmoor's unofficial patches, TIE, villages, Roads, Oblivion Open Cities Reborn and Alternate Start mods (most of the mods I'm using are his!); Enhanced Economy; Roberts' body replacers; KoTN Revelation; Map Marker Overhaul; LAME; Idle Dialogues and Harvest Flora 3.1.

I've futzed about with OOO somewhat (I really wish someone would port OOO's quests into a TIE-friendly mod), but not interested in FCOM etc. Large quest mods (e.g. Kvatch Rebuilt) are nice. So yeah, I'm a fairly seasoned modder.

Any suggestions, anything you think I may have missed? Looking at Unique Landscapes, maybe going to install that one next. Anything (cosmetic fixes, quests etc) you think'd be a good match (or replacement) for anything?

Thanks!

I really like Maskar's mods. I use pretty much all of them, except his hotkey. That one is not compatible with a controller, but he says he will do an update to make it work with a controller, so I am waiting on that.

But I have got his overhaul, along with Basic Primary Needs, Basic Personal Hygene, Basic Physical Activities and Camping. You may not need Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul if you are running TIE, since they do similar things, but his suite of "Basic" mods are great. They give you a realistic hunger, thirst, sleep, hygene, and fatigue mod (with Skyrim style sprint button) that is COBL aware and very customizable through the ini files.

Ah, COBL. Need to reinstall that at some point. But I'll take a look at some of those mods.

I turned off the pooping feature of Basic Personal Hygene. But I really like having to worry about how clean my character is. Removing a lot of Zombie brains make his hands dirty very quickly and if you eat when your hands are dirty you are likely to catch a disease. These mods have a lot of nice features like that.

Yeah, I think going to the toilet is a bit too far for me (some things I prefer to imagine happening "off-camera" so to speak). But things like cleaning up after slaughtering undead (or daedra, or bandits or) sounds appealling in that regard.
