Changing Occurances (Random Encounters?)

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:03 am

Just wanted to know what others are seeing as far as this goes. I was travelling along and randomly stumbled on Gunners that had taken a Vertibird. I killed those guys and wasn't able to do anything with the Vertibird and it still showed as an "enemy" in red, so I blew it up. I left the area and ended up getting killed by bloodbugs during a yaogui fight.

Anyway, after reload I headed back in the same direction only to find no Vertibird and Gunners. Instead I found 3 settlers and a preacher, standing over a fresh grave. After the preachers surmon, the settlers then went around and talked a little about the deceased man. I found this really interesting. Has anyone else run into something similar?

This was already the case in fallout 3 and new vegas. There are spots on the map once you enter them the game picks a random event and puts you in it. I like that feature.

Just outside Concord in a parking lot / junk yard kind of open area, I spotted a Yao Guai and thought to try out my trusty sniper rifle.... one quick mauling later, I ran back to the area only to find a simple Settler who had severe digestional issues. I think I got a map marker from talking to him and maybe a conversation starter for the NPC who gave him the bad food that wrecked his insides.

Ok i found a settler near a bridge. He sat on the floor. I talked to him, asked hin whats wrong. He told me he needs something to drink. I had no water with me and he said its ok but i shall come back with some water. So i quick travelled to my base, grabed some delicious H20, went back to that bridge and that settler was gone. Instead there have been some drug dealers asking me if i need something...

At least i tried to help him.

Sorry there are no random encounters in NV (sunset caps quest doesn't really count).
