Do you like how Bethesda have changed the game?

Tick if you DONT like.

or

Tick if you DO like.

or

Tick if you think I missed a feature out of the poll.

Add nothing to the poll, I don't dislike anything I've heard about Skyrim so far.

The ONLY thing i dislike is the lack of DX11 content. Everything else is an improvement for the better i think. Theyre evolving the game, not just changing.

I can't really say if I like it yet because I haven't tried it yet.

I'm disappointed about some things, and optimistic about others. Over all, I'm optimistic.

I don't not like anything you listed (in that, I'm willing to give it a chance that it may turn out good, despite possible mis-givings). But I do dislike the lack of dialog choices for "unimportant" NPCs.
I do like feats/perks, dragons, economy, and spell-equipping.

I think it's safe to assume that people like new stuff, but not the removal of stuff they had in the past.

I ticked *you missed a feature* for the first one which was unlimited dragons as I am a completionist and will do anything to kill them all, I ticked everything for the second one :D

The only thing I'm going to truly miss would be the removal of birthsigns.

What's going to matter to me the most in Skyrim is the atmosphere. Will it feel like an Elder Scrolls game? Will generic townspeople and bandits be named as they were in Morrowind, leaving me interested in the backstory and potential relatives of every person I encounter, or will I be hacking away at soulless "Bandits" and "Riften Settlers" as if I were living in some procedural instanced MMORPG world? Will the various ways you can use spells make up for the (apparent) loss of spellmaking, or will it just feel like I'm playing Quake running around with well-rounded weapons and no real incentive to improve my spell book?

Bethesda have always said they approach every elderscrolls game as a new game.

The only thing that remains is the Lore.

The game mechanics develop along with technology, game fashion, and how Bethesda feel about introducing new ways to do things.

No attributes, for me no problem.

Imagine the uproar there was when Bethesda said that they were going to level individual skills by using them frequently and not by assigning points to skills at the character level up. How different that was from any RPG on the marketplace at the time.

Alot of gamers dont like change to mechanics, graphics yes, how you play no.

I personally am looking forward to Skyrim's game mechanics change and what I have heard so far sounds great.

I dislike faster leveling up. Should be slower, not faster.

In terms of mechanics, I like a few of them, such as the removal of the class system and perks, and others I'm just going to have to test out, like the removal of attributes and finishing moves. I won't really know whether I like the changes or not, for sure, until I've played the game.

@hlvr: I don't see a problem with faster leveling IF the game is scaled properly for it. If I find myself reaching the upper limits before I've even come close to the end of the game, then it's a problem (like with NV).

Yes, IIRC in the GameInformer podcast. It could still make it in by the time the game finishes, but it's not something I'd expect.

They've "changed the game"? Sorry, I must have been out of the loop. Last time I came here, they changed ASPECTS of the game, mostly technical stuff. I had no idea they had changed the game.

In my opinion, you should wait until you've played the game before you start making decisions on what changes are good and what changes are bad. How can you say something was a bad change without even trying it first?

I'd probably expand that just a little more to say just their general apathy toward developing a PC experience for the game. I think overall its going to be a great game and the PC really deserves a true PC experience, not a ported console experience.

That said, I don't really have issue with any of the things listed in the poll.

I'll just go with the bottom line for my opinion. The games have improved much since the start.

Skyrim will be better than Arena.

Edit, add comment: I like that trend.

I think it makes sense that the more you train at a skill the easier it is for you to learn new skills associated with it.

I liked everything except removal of birthsigns, I will miss them.

Agreed--when you start exercising, it's harder at first, but the more your body gets used to it, the easier it gets.
