[Req] Changing the color of Candlelight wisp

Post » Wed Dec 18, 2013 9:24 pm

I've got a small problem with the Candlelight spell that I'd like to try to correct. The wisp that is created, and emits the light, is a rather blinding white with the ENB I'm using. I'm using the Warmer Magic Lights mod to change the color created by the wisp to a softer yellow and that definitely helps but, since I play in 3rd person, I've still got this BRIGHT white wisp floating in the middle of my viewpoint. I'd like to change the color of the wisp to a soft yellow or eliminate the wisp altogether. So far I've tried removing the hit effect from the Candlelight spell and removing the NIF file from the effect and both eliminated the wisp but also eliminated all light created by the spell. I fear I might actually have to edit lightspellactorfx.nif and I have no idea what to look for or how to do that (I've got nifskope downloaded, but I'm not familiar with it at all). Can anyone help?

I just craked the thing open to take a peak and...... well you've picked a good one. It's one of those horrible particle emitter ones where you have to go chasing colors everywhere. :yuck:
