Changing the speed of unarmed attack

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 9:23 pm

Any ideas how I would go about making my npc have a super fast unarmed attack that causes minimal damage but is insanely fast. I tried changing the rate of fire on a pair of brass knuckles but that had no effect, and I tried changing the npc's speed but that only effects their walk/run speed.

Any help or ideas appriciated thanks =]

Actually I found out how to do that. But now I have a different problem. How do I stop the npc from zooming in on the target for an attack, landing one punch, then running away and waiting about 30 seconds till landing another punch?

Before she left or took a break CuteUnit was working on a mod detailed in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1064982-wipcutemelee-meets-fist-of-the-north-star/page__p__15472020__fromsearch__1&#entry15472020 that had the player punching really fast. There's a video (or a couple) in that thread showing it. Not sure if she mentioned how she did it.
I don't know the answer, but thought that thread may be helpful in some way :)

Edit: I was replying to the first post.

You probably want to make a custom http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/Combat_Style. "Idle Timer" and "Attack % Chance" look promising.
