Changing the time scale?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:49 pm

I know there's a time scale setting in Skyrim, where the 'day' is maybe 1/10 or even shorter than a real one (on earth)...this is annoying to me, and I'm curious if it will break anything if I set the timescale (via console) to '2'. I'd like to be able to enter a dungeon in the morning and not come out of it at sunset....

I've been running with a time scale of 10, so far no problems.

I had the timescale on 1 and I ran into a problem:

Ground textures were loading really slow underneath me, it was really annoying and took me ages to figure out what was causing it, then I set the timescale back to default (30) and the problem went straight away.

Because if you reset the timescale It screws up the weather system/npc schedules. Example: Whenever you enter a building where it was sunny before entering, when you exit it's raining, that's because of Bethesda's region weather changes are timed to take advantage of the timescale of 30, not 1! Also, the same is for the NPCs, where you will find 5-10 of them walking into the new cell you're in as they try and play catch-up with the slowed timescale of 5,15,10, etc...
