Character Backstory

Post » Wed Sep 14, 2011 5:18 pm

I will consider that my Skyrim character is the same my Oblivion character:

Bored in his life, Johnny, an Imperial assassin, just couldn't stand it. He had done everything there is to do in Cyrodiil. He had killed every important target he wanted to kill. He now had a thirst to kill anyone he sees in his life, out of boredom. Considering himself dangerous to society, he decided to live a life outside it, in darkness, so that he would not become a serial killer. Little did he know that his life was about to change, forever. While sleeping in a cave in the north, a vampire, who also lived in that cave, saw him deep in his sleep. That night, Johnny was transformed into a vampire. He freaked out. He just couldn't become a vampire again, after going through all the trouble to cure it before. He also knew that the witch who gave him the cure was killed by his hand in Darkelowe. What was he to do now? As he was leaving the cave, an arrow suddenly struck his chest. He fell to the ground, unconscious. He woke up on a moving cart. As he opened his eyes, he saw that he was lying next to the bodies of other vampires. It was snowing, heavily. He saw he was still in Bruma. As he sneaked out of the cart, he fell onto a heavy pile of snow. The arrow was still in his chest. He had lost a lot of blood, and was still losing some. It was colder than usual. Heavy winter perhaps. As he stood up and looked around, he saw a sea with icebergs floating in it. A SEA?! IN BRUMA?? It is then that he realized, he was in Skyrim. His body was about to be dumped into that sea. It was so cold. He was bleeding more heavily. He was barely wearing anything to protect him from the cold. He fell into a deep coma. 200 years later, Johnny woke up. It was summer. It was still cold. He felt older, heavier. He never realized how much time had passed. Suddenly, a group of guards spotted him. The captain called out: "Surrender rebel! Long live the Empire!" He felt a sudden thud to the head and fell. Later on, he woke up in a dark place, surrounded by 4 walls and a small hole of a window. He was in prison.

Can I get your opinions on this backstory guys, please? I thought it's pretty good.

My Imperial, Gnaeus Caduceus, was a prominent merchantman throughout Skyrim, dealing in inter-regional trade, investments, and banking, working directly under the Imperial government. Gnaeus was growing increasingly worried about conducting business in the increasingly unstable Skyrim and ultimately decided to return to Cyrodiil with his wife and son. He however, did not wish to altogether abandon his work in Skyrim and decided to appoint one each of his aides to oversee each of the major aspects of his business. He however had four aides, and only three positions to offer. He gave the positions to a two Bretons and an Imperial, leaving his fourth aide, a Nord without work. Gnaeus simply did not trust in his ability to run an entire wing of the company, but the Nord interpreted his decision as racism and quickly began scheming revenge.

The Nord, Gomsir, went to the rebel governments with claims that Gnaeus had purposely been engaging in smuggling Imperial goods into Rebel settlements to undercut native prices, and had also been lending unfairly to the lower class, ensuring they were directly indebted, and therefor financially obligated to the Imperial government. Without delay the Rebel government nationalized what remnants of Gnaeus's company they could acquire, and either expelled or executed the non-Nords in association with it.

Gnaeus was spared this bloodshed because he was headed south already to clear up obligations he had to a competing firm, severing the last tie he had to Skyrim before returning home. His wife and grown son however, were not so lucky. They remained at home, overseeing the move of the last of their belonging. It was at this time that Stormcloak soldiers came to seize Gnaeus's property. His son, mistaking the situation for a home invasion, drew his sword, to deadly consequence. Gnaeus's wife was later executed for Imperial sympathies demonstrated in the mourning of her son.

Gnaeus was waiting for them both at a trading outpost near the southern border when he was arrested by the Imperial Legion for defecting to the rebels. Gomsir had apparently documented the Rebel takeover of Gnaeus's business and manipulated the situation to appear as though Gnaeus had actually sold his ownership stake for tracts of land in an Independent Skyrim. Reluctantly, an Imperial magistrate familiar with Gnaeus sentenced him to death.

Gnaeus is currently unaware of the fate of his wife and son.

i added a few things since the last time i wrote mine what do you think?

First name: Cyrus

Last name: Dralas (family name of the adoptive father)

race: Nord (a more tanned skin than the average nord and dark hair due to dilluted redguard heritage)

personality:

A calm and intelligent mind contrast with his big stature and imposing demeanor. he learned from his adoptive dunmer father everything from combat to blacksmithing, although his father wanted to teach him more in the ways of fencing he found that Cyrus was attuned to use 2 handed blades and so he often sent him on specific hunts in order for his son to improve himself.

Parentage:

Cyrus's adoptive father, Thoryn, was in his youth a wandering fencer and scholar, he often visited cities in order to visit their libraries and challenge passing warriors. approaching his 100 years of life he was sent to morrowind in chains as a slave and worked his way up until he was allowed by the argonians limited freedom to keep researching for them.

Brief Biography:

found as a baby on the shores of Morrowind in the arms of a dead nord captain. A dunmer passing by noticed this morbid scene and came near to take a better look, as he investigates the captain's body he finds an ancient medallion that seems to have been crafted in skyrim, in the back he finds an inscription with the name Cyrus. "Curious" -the dunmer thought to himself- though the medallion is from skyrim the inscription is written in the old redguard's language, he then takes a look at the infant and sees that he is on the brink of death. Unphased by its cries the dunmer turns back and starts to walk away... as he distances himself from the shores he is struck by a powerful force in the back, making him lose his footing and look back, he looks to the baby surprised to see a torn trail of ground rock with the unconscious infant at the end, "I can use him to leave this wretched place" - the dunmer though to himself - and brought the infant with him to the small town of Gnaar Mok.

Years have passed, and young Cyrus grew amongst the dunmer slaves and argonians learning everything he could from Thoryn, his adoptive father, who often sent him on hunts and odd mercenary jobs and while Cyrus was a formidable fighter, he never saw him recreate that shockwave from all those years ago. the rest of the village shunned Cyrus due to his heritage and often warned the father to abandon or even kill him in fear of a possible betrayal, Thoryn knew that in time the villagers would lose their patience and drive Cyrus, if not them both, out from the village in slavery or worse...
one night, Thoryn called the young nord to their home saying he had something important to show him, he showed Cyrus all the books and scrolls he had collected over the years, all of them describing Nord and redguard history as well as culture, he told Cyrus that the time to leave the village was coming near and that they would have to prepare for the inevitable outcome.

One day on one of his hunts Cyrus saw himself ambushed by bandits, fifteen men lead by an argonian woman named Seen-Na who readied her dagger and ordered her thugs to kill Cyrus. seeing no other course of action Cyrus ran towards a cave housing an underground maze thinking he might be able to pick them off one by one. the plan worked or so it seemed, for when Cyrus left the cave Seen-Na using her agility positions herself behind him without him noticing prepares to backstab him.
as he turns around to at least try and deflect the blow he is surprised to see Seen-Na lying on the ground dead with an arrow between her eyes. "and the deed...is done." someone whispers and suddenly a loud impact sound resonates throughout the area. Cyrus hurries to the where the sound originated and finds an unconscious argonian lying on the ground poisoned and slashed in the gut, realizing that this argonian saved him from certain death Cyrus administers some first aid and magic to at least cure the poison and close the wound, afterwards he takes him back to the village in secret. two days later, the argonian awakes surprised to find himself alive and in the care of a dunmer, "my son Cyrus says you saved him and as such he wanted to return the favor, think nothing of it...what name do you go by argonian?" Thoryn asked.

argonian: my name is Gin-Dar, i am...was a shadowscale.
Thoryn: ...figured as much, though i am curious...how did you leave the order and lived?
Gin-Dar: a friend, a nord, saved me after i defected from the brotherhood, he made it look like i was dead with a special poison. that nord...i heard he died off the coast.
though i also heard that his son survived. while i mourned the passing of my friend, i was glad at least his offspring made it out alive. then i heard some unsavory rumors from my contacts that a mercenary group was out to kill him.
Thoryn: is that why you decided to save my son, for a life debt?
Gin-Dar: yes...though it seems that lifedebt has now passed on to his son.
*Gin-Dar gets up from the bed*
Thoryn: rest, you're still too weak.
Gin-Dar: i'll manage, tell your son i said thank you and when the time comes and you leave morrowind remember...keep your head low.

after a few weeks, it was time to leave morrowind and head towards skyrim, in search of knowledge and a better life away from the slavery of the argonians.
under the cover of darkness the father and son sneaked onto a boat and made their way into the sea, but some argonian sentries saw them and were about to attack when suddenly they were killed...shot in the head from faraway, another arrow was shot but this time onto the boat and bearing a message "this makes us even".

weeks, maybe months later at sea, Thoryn and his son reached the shores of skyrim and made their way to the nearest inn.
as soon as they entered the tavern everyone got silent and stared at our heroes, the presence of Thoryn was what triggered this reaction. when the tension in the room was such that it seemed a battle was unavoidable, suddenly, a drunken patron started to shout:

"so...you're this vermin's master heh?! good on ya son! serves those knife ears right GaHaHaHA!"

everyone's disposition after this statement seemed to have lightened up the mood so Cyrus and Thoryn knew this could be of use... so they disguised as a nord slaver and his dunmer slave. the ploy worked well enough for them and after leaving the tavern the next day they managed to travel the roads fairly safely, until cyrus was ambushed by dunmer rebels who took his father and slashed Cyrus's face cutting out his right eye, the attack left Cyrus unconscious and the rebels disappeared as fast as they came leaving him with nothing but rags on his back. Cyrus then wakes up in a prison, apparently the guards recognized him when he came into shore and after a bit of investigation they learned that Cyrus was not a slaver but rather a mer sympathizer and was awaiting execution for it, this accusation left Cyrus laughing at the irony of it all.
what happens next is yet to be told...

Name: Relien Riscel

Race: Breton

Skills: Destruction, Illusion, Alteration and Restoration

From: High Rock

Age: 50

Born in Camlorn, High Rock in a poor family. He began showing substantial magical abilities quite early and joined the local mages guild when he was 20 years old.
He then fell in love with a beautiful noble girl, her father quickly caught wind of this as he was one of the most influental persons in the city.
The father who by no means approved of the match, pulled some strings and had Relien exiled from High Rock. Relien who didn't know what to do, went to Hammerfell and eventually found his way to Cyrodiil. During his time as a wandeer he didn't have much else than his magic, which he practiced every day.

Once in Cyrodiil he joined the mages guild in Bruma for food and a place to sleep. When his guild mates found out how good he was at magic, they urged him to stay in Bruma. Relien did and he quickly rose in ranks and eventually became the head of the mages guild chapter in Bruma. He recieved many offers for positions in the arcane university but he didn't want them, Relien had become fond of Bruma and the innhabitants and he didn't like the pompous mages in the arcane university.

Over the years in Bruma, some of his guild mates grew more and more jealous of him and his position and started to conspire against him.
They killed a beggar and made it look like Relien did it, Relien was on a hike in the Jerall Mountains at the time and had no alibi. Due to the evidence against him the guards were forced to act. When a guard came to arrest him, he cast a powerful paralyze spell on him and fled the city. Having nowhere else to go he went for the border to Skyrim. When he finally arrived, it didn't take long until the guards caught him. Turns out the guard he paralyzed had cracked his head on a stone step when he fell and died of head trauma.
Relien was charged with 2 counts of murder and was sentenced to execution.

The Story of Danus Wulf

Father - Darius Wulf, Born 4E 132
Mother - Arielle Wulf, Born 4E 145

Danus was born on 4E 178 to a very high ranking family in Wayrest, High Rock.

Journal 1.
Brief accounts of childhood written by father Darius Wulf. Most of the pages of the journal were destroyed in the fire. This is what was put together from what was left.

4E-183-Suns Dawn-7th
Since I am just a simple Imperial Hunter/Adventurer with no formal education, I enjoyed moving to the outskirts of Wayrest. Even Arielle, a wealthy popular beautiful Breton Scholar who spent every day socializing with the other women in town can find appreciation in the beauty of the wildernes. Although she was terrified of most its inhabitance. It was something I always wanted since my father died in the battle of North Point. So at a young age despite his mothers protest I decided to train the boy. The agreement was he would join a school to become a Scholar when he became old enough, which was a much safer endeavor in High Rock than my life of exploration. But I always knew that we would leave it up to Danus. Every man is the master of his own destiny. We go on our first hunt soon. I will take him to the .... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-183-Frost Fall-23rd
Danus was trained in the arts of hunting, survival and war like I was as a child. But it was not just the passion he found in the hunt it's the pace at which he learned that astonished me. Danus could learn technique and tactics in a matter of days. By the time this passage was started he had been on 15 hunts with me, and was hunting small game by himself, all at the age of 6. His archery skills are also exceptional. He can consistently hit a target up to 15 feet away. Just the other day he .... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-184-Mid Year-5th
Today Danus returns to our home soaked in blood. Arielle and I quickly run to the boy, but as I make eye contact he smiled at me. It was then I let out a sigh of relief since I knew that he was unharmed. He was so excited he could barely get out the details of what had happened. He went on to tell us how he killed his first troll with just a knife all by himself, which is very impressive at age the young age of seven. I will log the details as best I can.

He was fishing in the hills north of our home when he noticed a troll walk in to the water across the river most likely also looking for fish. As Danus slowly got to his feet the troll noticed his movement and began to sprint towards him. Danus quickly readied his hunting bow and shot an arrow in to the beasts chest. The beast was unaffected and charged at him even faster. He dropped the bow and decided to pull out his mothers Elvin dagger which he took out whenever he was by himself. He pulled out poison we had gathered and mixed ourselves and quickly places it at the tip of his blade. As the beast jumped out of the river Danus held the dagger out in front, slightly above his face and lined it up with the troll as best he could. As the full weight of the beast came crashing down on to Danus he plunged the dagger in to the trolls throat. That blow along with the fast acting poison was enough to kill the troll. As he crawled out from underneath the much larger creature, he decided to get the meat for dinner. There are few better feelings a father can feel then pride I felt for what my son had done at such a young age. On his trip home he was ..... (page burnt, cannot read on)

4E-187-Rains Hand-14th

I decided to take Danus on another one of my adventures. Several other warriors including my brother Cyrus will accompany us on our travels to west High Rock. We are to investigate a village whose crops has mysteriously disappeared. I suspect a small group of bandits. We pack our things and head off to Wayrest in the morning to meet up with Cyrus and the rest of the group. We will go north first towards Shornhelm while hugging the lliac bay. Then we shall turn due west for..... (page burnt, cannot read on)

The traveling journal of Darius Wulf from the Rains hand incident.

4E-187-Rains Hand-17th

It has been a successful few days of travel. Food is plentiful and shelter is easy to come by. The worst thing about our journey so far is the terrain. Danus decided he wanted to feed us tonight. So he set out and came back in no time with a fine elk. It's a good night. We should reach the town of Ykalon in three to four days.

4E-187-Rains Hand-19th

We made it safely to the town of Ykalon today. We have set up in the local Inn and plan on getting to work in the morning. I am sure if Arielle knew I was sharing a few meads with Danus she would have more than a few choice words for me. Tonight we rest for the journey that awaits us.

4E-187-Rains Hand-25th

We had gone on expeditions before and this wasn't Danuses first time but I tell this story in great detail because of the unusual power I discovered in my own son. After several uneventful days of traveling we had grown weary and unobservant since a group of bandits were able to surprise us and attacked the rear of our group. Since he was at the back of the group and had the advantage of youth Danus was the first to notice them as he blocked a arrow from hitting his uncle Cyrus with the cooking pan he was tasked with carrying. The loud ring it gave alerted the group and everyone drew their weapons. Even without the advantage of surprise the bandits made up of Dunmer and Bretons were experienced warriors and swarmed in from all directions. I shoot an arrow at the closest bandit and hit him in the eye then as quickly as he falls I fire another at the one behind him. It does not kill him like the first but it staggers him, and give me a chance to look back to see Danus and Cyrus take out a few of the bandit archers behind us. However two members of our group have been struck down by those very archers. I turn back to see the wounded bandit close in with his Ax and take his swing. I block the Ax with my Elvin bow and the weapon gets stuck in my bow. Then in one quick motion I spin throwing the imbedded Ax from the Dunmers hand, and draw my glass short sword to swing at his exposed abdomen. The swing met its mark and the Dunmer falls to his death. I call out to Cyrus to move Danus to the front of the group with me but as I look back I see Cyrus on one knee with 2 arrows in his back and Danus preventing 2 bandits from finishing him. I rush to their side but for my haste I receive a arrow in my leg before I reach them. Things were going bad fast and then they seemed to get even worse as I spotted bandit mage approaching from the rear. The mage sent a wave of fire at the last two members of our group that were at the rear. This left Cyrus, Danus and myself defenseless at the back, and only the 2 members at the front of our group remain. Danus was putting up a formidable fight but it was only a matter of time until the 2 bandits got the better of him so I tossed my sword as hard and as straight as I could and hit one of them in the chest. As the other bandit turned to see what happened to his companion Danus took advantage of the distraction and plunged his blade in to his back. The mage brought his attention to Danus and Threw another wave of fire, this time directly at him. But thinking quick Danus pulled the bandit he had just stabbed in to the path of the fire. It pains me to say that Cyrus was unable to do the same, and was hit directly by the attack. I drew my bow and lined up a shot at the mage but with the damage the Ax did the bow snapped in two before I could get off a shot. As the mage turns to me and begins to charge his next attack, I yell out to Danus to run and to save himself.

This is when I first discovered the abilities inside Danus. He gets back to his feet after being knocked back by the blast. He Yells at the top of his lungs and it sends a wave of energy that's more powerful than the strongest mountain wind and send the mage hurdling in to a tree. Then he looks towards me and shouts again. This time I not only see the energy I feel it as well. It hits with unbelievable force and send me flying back at least 15 feet. As I staggered to my feet I look around and noticed 3 bandits around me, doing the same thing I was doing. This is when I realized the bandits must of finished off the remaining members of our group and Danus saved me from the remaining bandits. As soon as I made the realization Danus runs up and jumps on to the left shoulder of one of the dazed Mer. Hanging off the bandits left pauldron Danus swings around and slits his throat. I then make quick work of the remaining dazed bandits. Being a formidable warrior at a young age, not only did Danus managed to save me during the battle with the bandits, he and I were the only two left alive. Even thou we were both wounded and I lost a brother, this created a very strong bond between father and son.

4E-187-Rains Hand-27th

Despite the horrid events that took place on our journey I can take some comfort in keeping my promise to Danus and returning home before Jesters day. Arielle heals his wounds and we let him go play with his friends. I leave most details out when talking to my wife. I right in this journal because I can't keep this log in my home. I have never seen power like that before. Not even from Arielle`s fellow scholars, whom are some of the strongest mages in High Rock. I will figure out what happened on our journey and how it can best benefit my son.

4E-187-Seckond Seed-3rd

My old friend, I come to you with something I wish you to share with no one. My son Danus has been exhibiting abilities that were thought to of been long lost. Enclosed in this letter is my travel journal for the event in question. I have done some research myself and what I have discovered is complex, so I wish to get your expertise on the matter. Please write me as soon as you can should you make a discovery.

Journal 2.
Written by father Darius Wulf. Most of the pages of the journal were destroyed in the fire. More than the first journal so it becomes a bit confusing. This is what was put together from what little was left.

4E-190-Heart fire-25th

My dearest Leles I write to you with tragic news. All the bonding that his expeditions brought on was hart warming. Unfortunately it did not last. Only weeks after Danus turned 12 his father went on a great expedition to find a valuable lost artifact with Andil, a scholar and close family friend. Darius was convinced this trip would explain more about our son. He said it had something to do with the blades since was supposed to meet a old member in Skyrim. He was the expert tracker and lead hunter for the group. Andil was the battle mage and they had 3 other good men accompanied him on their journey. Since this was very common thru out his whole life Danus did not think twice about it but after a few months go by I began to suspect the worst. A year went by before we heard anything, Then last week when Andil finally returned Danus and I learned that his father had disappeared while on the expedition. He and I are crushed. Andil was the only one who`s heart was big enough to came to break the news to us. While he was distraught by the news Danus was in denial and couldn't shake the feeling he had deep inside that his father is alive and will return to him soon. I however am not as hopeful since he has never been gone this long. I hope to see you soon thou with recent events it may be a while.

Best wishes - Arielle

A letter by Arielle Wulf to sister Leles.

4E-195-Suns Dawn-25th

My dearest Leles. Five years have passed since Darius went missing. Danus is now 17 years old and It is clear to me the scars have not fully healed. But he managed to learn how to not only move on, but thrive among the other teens here in Wayrest. He is respected by the men and desirable to the women, and he credited his father for becoming the man that he was. I am very proud of him. He is finally happy again for the first time in a while. But I can't help but feel like how quickly I fell in love with Andil Rumer has bothered him. Even thou he says he is glad I could be happy again, now that I am remarried I can tell he strongly disliked his new Altimer stepfather and the rules we made in his best interest . He always hated how quickly they seemed to give up the search for his lost father. Unlike his father, he is a scholar I worked with and was a teacher of the arcane arts in Daggerfall. Even though he was a formidable battle mage Danus feels his new stepfather had no honor. But he is just a different person. Because of what happened to his father Andil and I decided he was no longer allowed to hunt with his friends so he could focus on his schooling. It was deemed, by Andil, that its safer to not become a traveling hunter and more important to begin training to be a Scholar. We told him he had to switch to the school Andil currently teaches in. I agree that he should follow in his stepfathers footsteps as I could not bear to lose him too. We are looking forward to seeing you when you come visit soon.

Best wishes - Arielle

Danus Wulf`s Journal

4E-197-First Seed-2nd

I have been talked in to keeping my own journal. Keeping a log is not the usual thing I do at night but Falicia says she sees something in me, and that I should tell our story. Not much else to do while your keeping watch in the woods at night so I obliged. This story begins around a while ago. When my mother first told me I was switching schools.

I hated the idea of someone else choosing what I would be doing the rest of my life. especially someone like Andil. I wanted to get back to what my life was but then I met her. She was a half Breton half readguard named Falicia and she went to my new school. I thought well this isn't all that bad. She seemed to numb the situation I was in. I spent all of my free time with her and she made time fly by. Before long we were everything but old enough to get married. She had been in the school for a lot longer than me so she was very skilled, particularly at healing. I spent a whole year learning the healing arts, and getting extra pointers from Falicia. I was getting good at it so I quickly grew tired of the mundane healing spells and became fascinated by the possibilities of destruction. However over time we both became reckless. We began to miss class and disappear for hours a day. It didn't even affect our school work. It was good while it lasted but when Andil found out that my attention was solely on Falicia and not on his pointless studies, he agreed that I was not ready to advance to the school of destruction. Then if that wasn't enough Andil told Falicia`s father what had happend, and they agreed to forbid me and Falicia from ever seeing each other. That was the last straw.

I was furious and grew tired of the new life that was forced on me. Becoming very rebellious I easily convinced her to run away from home with me. The night we snuck out I was almost discovered by one of the guards posted on the street. I dipped my mom's Elvin blade in to a poison I had anticipated needing, that can temporarily paralyze him so I could sneak in to Falicias house. I walked up as if to ask a question only to slash at the guards arm. I made sure not to cut deeply but when the guard yelled out I had to hit him with the hilt of my blade knocking him unconscious. I dragged him in to the shadows and waited to see if anyone herd his call. The coast was clear no one was coming so I entered Falicia`s house, woke her up, collected her things and got out of the area before the guard even woke up. Completely relying on his hunting and her exceptional healing powers to survive we decided to move north in to the moutons I hunted in as a child. Which brings us to today. Two nights on the road and there are no signs of anyone following us. Falicia sleeps at my side since we have not been able to rest for a while, but I couldn't sleep so I decided to start this journal for this new chapter of my life.....

It is night time. We have be on the road for 5 days since my last journal entry. We have a nice cave to sleep in and a hearty elk to feed on. Definitely the best meal of our travels. Falicia has been as strong, as I predicted she would be. We have been traveling along the border to Hammerfell towards the city of Evermore. Tomorow we will arrive at Evermore, we will see what this adventure brings us tomorow.

Evermore proved to be a bad idea. We have finally lost a group of pursuers that tracked me and Falicia to Evermore. The city itself was a wonder and full of life. That's what hid their approach and gave our attackers the upper hand. One of them was a Dunmer and the other a Imperial. I suspect that Falicia`s father sent them cause the men came after me and did not try to capture me. They tried to kill me in a secluded ally so I had to defend myself. The first strike was thrown by the Imperial. The men clearly did not know who they were messing with since I easily used the Imperials own motion to disarm the Dunmer and plunge his friends own blade in to his chest. I mutter in a deep voice "My father trained me well". The imperial let the sword go and pulled out a dagger. But after I unsheathed my sword and knocked the blade out of his hand he came to his senses and ran off, or at least for a second I thought that's why he ran. But as I turn around I see a city guard standing at the other end of the ally with Falicia`s arm in his hand. He says were both going to have to come with him. I know well enough that if there are no witnesses to support your story you will most likely end up rotting in a cell. I calmly told him to release her arm as I pull out my dagger. He declined. So I had to force him to let her go. I flip the blade to my fingertips ready to launch it at the guards head, when the ground in between us began to glow. I could tell Falicia was trying to summon a bone walker since I had often sparred with this particular conjuration of hers. The undead warrior comes together and raises his Ax but the guard is much faster and cuts the creature in half. We use this as a diversion and we run like hell. I don't think the cities of high rock will be safe for us any longer.

We have covered our tracks well but we can`t stay too long due to the openness of our camp site. Falicia has done wonders healing the minor wounds I receive while hunting. We rest tonight for we have a long journey ahead.

I came across another hunter today. He and I were after the same game and after a short conversation we decided instead of fighting over it we should just all eat together. Just from the 2 hour conversation we had at dinner I picked up a lot of useful information. He told us that Andil and Falicia`s father have men searching for us. The strange thing is, despite our encounter the other day in Evermore no one had reported seeing us. He knew this because when he was in town selling goods he was asked by a Imperial Legion about us. He said he is not happy with the direction Legion has gone and would not tell them he saw us. He also told us of a small village he used to trade with. He hasn't made it out there in a while but he believes it would be a good place for us since it is cut off from most of High Rock. Tomorrow we set out for the mark on the map that is our next best hope.

After about 2 days on the road we arrived the village yesterday . It turns out it's not too far from Orsinium. There were 7 Orcs who lived in the village. The hunter forgot to mention that they were all Orcs but that was no problem for me. The leader of the village approached me. He was a towering Orc named Durbal Gro Ghamonk with heavy Orcish armor and a great battle Ax. Durbal said Normally they would cast outsiders out to the cold but after hearing our story and proving my skill with a bow and blade they have done everything but take us in as one of their own. We had the first good night sleep since we left Wayrest. Now I sit next to a fire with Falicia asleep at my side and a ale in my hand. The future is looking very promising.

It has been a month of training. The days are grueling and the nights are even harder. I haven't been having this much fun since my father disappeared. Besides the things my dad taught me made the training go a lot smoother. My teacher, Baroth Gro Grat expected me to fail since I was a Breton But I have just as much fight in me as any Orc. He has been teaching me how to use a long sword since my arms were not long enough to learn from my dad. It instantly felt natural and I have spent countless hours perfecting my technique. It's hard to find the time to write with all the time I spend with Falicia, training and helping out. Another good day in our new home.

We have now lived in the village for around 3 months. We have friends here. We now have roots here. we have history here. This is now our home. Baroth even said I am ready to move up in training. I have even begun to best the likes of Shagrol Gro Ghamonk in a dual. He is one of, if not the best swordsman in the village. I start training in their native armor this week. It is very heavy but I am up to the challenge.

I have woken up again for the 4th time in the past few nights after a very vivid dream. It's the same dream every time I have it. I am on the edge of a mountain climbing up. But something keeps knocking me off the edge, then I wake up. But every time It happens I get closer to the top. I feel like it means something and if it happens again I will try and reach the peak to see what the dream means. Falicia sleeps soundly by my side. I will rite again when I get to the top and figure this thing out.
