My Character is _____ because of _____.

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:40 pm

I tried different toons, first was my nord, Ongar, the classic barbarian to try the game out and start to feel the huge world. Then Jeberilie Geles, a conjurer pretty generalist to check different feats in the game.

Dura gra-Bulak, the perfect tank warrior orc in heavy armor and sword and board, but clever enough to craft something useful. Good toon, did great things. Lawful good and loyable to the empire, even in these dark times. One of my best char so far.

Tried two chars to test other areas of gameplay; a pure classic altmer mage, Elenwen - didn't know was yet taken by one npc lol - and Hidden-Among-The-Leaves, the classic argonian assassin.

Now I'm leveling Arielle Monet, a nice little breton girl who escape from her past in High Rock but got caught by imperial soldiers at the borders. She is sneaky-sneaky but always been curious about magic world. Didn't join any faction so far but yet pretty good at backstabbing, pickpocket people around and cast some spells to distract her victims. You can see her build in my signature.

I'm on my third character now (yes, my second character suffered my first character's fate: corrupted saves).

It's a she. She is Joan of Arc-inspired type, except in reverse. She wants to help the Empire conquer Skyrim. She views the whole 'dragonborn' thing as a mere distraction next to her 'true' calling. She's a dual-wielding fighter. Absolutely no magic or lockpicking or alchemy or pickpocketing or stealing. A bit of blacksmithing and a bit of speech, but that's it.

A country bumpkin who has big dreams ... ;)

My character was almost beheaded by the Imperials, so he decided to join the Stormcloacks... :celebrate:

My character was attempted assasinated by the Dark Brotherhood 3 times before he was dry behind his Dragonborn ears, so he decided to dry up and wipe out the Dark Brotherhood...

My character was sent flying by Giants so he decided to get revenge on them after putting just a few more perks into archery and light armor, plus leveling up stamina in case things would go wrong.

My character got so fed up by Lydia rushing into battle killing things before he could and blocking doorways at home that he decided to get rid of her, but then he couldn't, and when he finally could he realized that he had gotten attached to the crazy little thing.

You don't have to be a wood elf to be born in Valenwood, or to be born in Valenwood to be a wood elf, so your point is moot.

Wareeva has been shelved because she got bored. she was able to rise to the highest levels of two rather important organizations and then got bored. the dungeons all melded together. Wareeva also wasnt able to pacify the loud cries of her comrades by showering them in the massive amount of money that she had.

For example, my Altmer Mage is a Talos worshipper because the Shrine of Talos in Whiterun cured him of Sanguinare Vampiris.

This has also lead him to reconsider his position on the Imperials versus the Stormcloaks. Being an Altmer, he was inclined to side with the Empire. However, he is now mulling over the ban of Talos worship, and he is not happy about it.

What has happened in your game that has dictated how your character thinks and behaves? Did you plan it beforehand? Or did it just happen that way, like my example?

You could also reconcile the Elven view of creation (Gnostic) with Talos-worship by saying that Talos took Lorkhan's Mantle so that Lorkhan could never rise up again. I never figured out why no one came up with something like that.

Anyway, my main's background is Valenwood Resistance Fighter forced to flee the country. Currently level 49. Doesn't care much for gods, prefers the Dwemer religion, or at least his interpertation of it.

My character is pure mage because he has a methodical approach to war. But though times call for tough measures. After finding out he was the dragonborne , he decided to hone his magic skills in winterhold college where he rised up meteorically from a mere student to the Archmage of the college. Much better prepared to face the natural challenges of skyrim, the brewing war and Dragons he set out on a quest to understand the sources of conflict in skyrim to make it a better place. Regretably Skyrim is a corrupted land, and his principles have been compromised more than once. He trying to do good by the people of skyrim.

My khajiit is a cold assassin and despises the Imperials because of the death of his best friend and master thief, Hoth Seraden.
That Hoth guy? Old toon who's saves got deleted. Therefore, he died.

My character is more moral because he met the children in Solitude.

No joke, I actually started drifting away from my character's plans to kill the smallest amount of humanoids as possible, and then I met them, and I changed back to my original course.

I am roleplaying a Daedric Knight - he started out chaotic and evil.... until he met Meridia. Then Azura. Both touched him and he realized he might have to rethink his Daedric Patron. Then he met the cult of Nemeria (sp?) and was so disgusted that he is still a Daedric Knight but has decided that he will truly bring the light of Azura and Meridia wherever he goes.....

.... it feels a bit strange b/c I was planning to do the DB and TG questlines but now feel conflicted with this character. :)

My Dunmer sword 'n board warrior is a Forsworn because he helped them in a certain quest in Markarth. Probably my favourite side quest so far, so many guards died :D!

My Breton doesn't use magic because he is to lazy to study.

He supports the empire because the home region of the Stormcloaks is too frosty for him to walk barefoot as he usually does. You see, he's not really a politically thinking man. :whistling:
