My Character is _____ because of _____.

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 10:19 pm

For example, my Altmer Mage is a Talos worshipper because the Shrine of Talos in Whiterun cured him of Sanguinare Vampiris.

This has also lead him to reconsider his position on the Imperials versus the Stormcloaks. Being an Altmer, he was inclined to side with the Empire. However, he is now mulling over the ban of Talos worship, and he is not happy about it.

What has happened in your game that has dictated how your character thinks and behaves? Did you plan it beforehand? Or did it just happen that way, like my example?

I just talked with a guy who told me to infiltrate a keep, and eventually whiterun was taken over by the stormcloaks. I don't really remember how it happened, but there were a lot of dead bodies to pilfer.

My breton assassin is terrified of walking at the bottom of cliffs, because whilst doing so on a midsummer eve near Markarth, an elk landed about 10 feet away and scared him half to death.

Scared me half to death as well, as it was alive up until the point it hit the ground.

Well, when the game started some Imperial scumbags wanted to chop my head off, so, surprisingly enough, i'm not a big fan of the Empire anymore...

My Khajiit Thief is scared of dragons because.. well, they're dragons!

Seriously though, he finds them intimidating, since he's made it through most of his life by sneaking past or avoiding all the problem's he's ever had to face, and you can't really sneak past a dragon, can you? :b

So I guess it's a psychological thing.

My character is a khajiit who is far away from home and safety. He does what he must to survive. That's why he's a thief-mage. He got lost in the tundra after the dragon attack, and ended up on the other side of the mountains, in The Rift, eventually rejoining civilisation in Riften. He remembers how tough life was out in the wilderness, so he does what he must to acquire some power and influence in order to be safe against this hostile region and its peoples.

When I made my Redguard I wanted to go for an elegant, exiled prince type character who turned to mercenary work during his exile. He enjoys the finer things in life. When I got the quest In my Time of Need, *minor spoilers* it was difficult to decide who to side with.

Rashad went with the alluring Saadia, as he found they shared a common story, regardless of the truth. Either way, he had always wanted to test the mettle of the Alik'r of his homeland. He still wields Kematu's scimitars. He fights with a shield, but in times of great need, or if he is enraged, he fights with both scimitars, becoming a whirlwind of death.

He is also a collector of alcoholic beverages, and prefers to find them on his adventures. In rare cases he'll buy specialty drinks that can't be found anywhere else.

My character isn't a dumb ass and is able to learn everything.

That aside when I get bored times to time I suppose using a bow and hunting deer and stuff is role playing along with trying stealth with two handed weapons since I didn't have perks.

It reminded of me of this book back in Morrowind so I started reading some books from Skyrim and they kinda svck a lot for story telling.

My argonian warlock is actually a Tsaesci agent who must regularly consume illusion potions to allow his serpentine features to appear reptilian therefore making the lesser species of Tamriel believe him to be Argonian, the only clue his golden scales.

My nord has joined the Stormcloaks because he hates all that traitor talk by those that embrace the weak grip by an old Empire that is too weak to stand against some fascistic elves.

I laughed out loud. I should have seen that coming, but it got me nonetheless.

Also, it's nice to see my Khajiit friends here! My main toon is Khajiit. I've met Ma'iq with both characters now, and regardless of their alignment/style/attitude, they've both been in awe, as will all of my characters.

Excellent stories and answers. Keep'em coming. :foodndrink:

Well before I blew up the game :(

Thadious became part of the Imperial Legion because of the impending Stormcloak attack on Whiterun. Thadious wanted to defend his new home.

My Nord Barbarian has post-traumatic stress disorder because of fighting so many dragons and times where dragons would attack her, even when inside of a city. The strange sounds of the sewers rising from the man-holes and the shadows of predatory birds seen on the streets of Solitude is enough to trigger such an episode.

Because it was still loading and the kettle had already boiled and the milk, coffee and sugar were already in the cup so all I really had to do was pour the water in and stir it.

My khajit is a pathetic sack of crap living with his in-laws and using all his septims on the drink. When he comes home his wife attacks him with a dagger and yells he never should have come here. Sometimes when he gets home his wife is having Faendal over for dinner. Faendal doesn't like him very much.
When he walks down the street (any street) people will tell him how much he looks like crap, and he feels like crap. Sad kitty.
