Character Choices

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:25 pm

I am hoping you still have choices when it comes to what race/character you want to play. Because All I have seen in the gameplay screenshots are Nord characters.

I also have a comment for Bethesda, This game better be have been worth the wait after Fallout and New Vegas. Been too long since Oblivion.

Ha! I can tell you're going to be very popular among the Nords.

And yeah, the GI article confirmed that there are 10 races to choose from. It's on page 51.

Yes, Dunmer for me too, only race I have ever played, except for Arena where I played a Khajiit.

They sure do, my first character in any TES game is always a Dunmer.

My hardened Dunmer mercenary, favouring light armor for speed and destruction magic to spice things up a bit will return, and I hear he'll learn how to dual wield in Skyrim.

If the only race you can choose is a Nord I would probably have to think twice about whether or not this game is worth it. Character customization ( especially the choice of race ) was the most important part for me in TES series. Good to hear that your assumption was incorrect and there are ten races!

Is there a list of all ten races, and also where did the OP find the screen shots of the Nord characters?

There isn't an official list of the 10 races in Skyrim, but I very much doubt it's different than the 10 races available in Morrowind and Oblivion.

I doubt that there will be any other new races either, even though it does take place 200 years after the events of Oblivion. Now granted, the race cultures may have changed, at least we know that the Argonians and Dunmer have changed quite a bit, from what was hinted at and told in The Infernal City novel.

By the way, the GI article also says that facial and body features are customizable.

No offense but you need to pay attention; I believe everyone on these forums know that there are 10 races and what they are in Skyrim.

Two words: Hell yes.

That is seriously awesome, it's something I've been requesting for a long time now and I'm glad Bethesda is running with the idea.

It was mentioned that only a few races were actually confirmed in the game. For all we really know right now the fact there's 10 races in this coming game and the passed two games could be just coincidental. And trust me, no offense taken.

Mine will be a Dunmer Knight or Paladin type, going around and ridding the world of evil, especially the undead.
