Character Creation Diversity

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:09 pm

Make building a character, be it a Rogue, a Mage, A Warrior, whatever, more Diverse.. To me, Oblivion had the "Im a Warrior/Mage/Rogue/Ultra Dude going on". It just seemed like no matter what you started with, it ended up being the same badass character. You should have to choose a Secondary profession to speciallize in and on top of that, be limited to the skills granted by your Secondary profession. To me, this would add alot more replay value, in trying different Builds.

Also, will the Main Character be a "Mute?"... Give us voice's for our characters male and female. At least make them say things when fighting or something. And make alot of variations of things said.

Get someone to do a good Arnold Shwartzenegger or Sean Connery and I'll be happy.

they will speak, it's called dragon shouts. beyond that idk.
as far as classes go, they are gone. all the skills are available to you. so build your guy/gal the way you want. with the new perks system, it should allow you to specialize much more then oblivion allowed for.

I remember one of the developers (Todd Howard, maybe?) said that you could level all the skills up to 100 in the game, but you couldn't get all the perks from said skills. It's in an interview somewhere, let me see if I can find it...

Here's a thread that dicussed it: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1167518-official-playstation-magazine/

Morrowind and Oblivion already had that, so I don't think you have anything to worry about on that front.

If it was, I don't remember it. I do remember enemies saying things to me in fights though. While my character was just mute the whole time. Maybe a grunt here and there.

The grunts here and there is what he was talking about. When you got hit or attacked, you made "combat noises". And it sounded like you were saying those weren't in the previous games.
